I feel like Radiohead and The Cars are deserving. The Eurthymics will get in for what they each did on their own vs. the actual band.

Rappers being in the Rock HoF always confused me. I'm assuming that Goose left Nina Simone off because she is closer to jazz and classical, and not that she is not a HoF caliber talent.

31, which member of the Eurythmics had the best career?

Annie Lenox duh.

Dave Stewart was a big time producer in addition to being in the Eurthymics.

That was for 31. Because there's literally zero chance he (or I) could name a Eurythmic without looking it up.

Is that what you were going for? Never woulda guessed.

Then again, I thought there was a greater than zero chance somebody would get my Orgazmo reference, so I guess we live in uncertain times.

My bad Wolf. I'm a bit rusty and forgot how this place works.

Also I'm a off my game in this thread because I thought Goose was going to reply to my Nina Simone thing. I had an Angry Black Lady HoF quip teed up for his hypothetical response.

No worries, sco. I'm sure there will be another opportunity for 31 and me to have an interesting musical debate. Also, who's Nina Simone?

She was a singer and pianist who became very active in the civil rights movement. Her work spanned classical, jazz, and rock.

Here are a couple songs

It seems for the last few years there has been a pattern where there are certain "spots" that need to be filled:

Headliner - Bon Jovi (very popular for a very long time)

Critical Darling - Radiohead

Woman - Kate Bush or Nina Simone

Liberal/Social Political Activist(s) - Rage Against the Machine

Hip-Hop Act - LL Cool J

Classic Artist From Non-Rock Genre, etc. - Nina Simone works here too and probably for the political activist slot too.

Not to mention being the rock of a great Oakland A's rotation for a few years

IMO, that's an odd way to describe a TRU BLU JAY.
