I've gotten a Bruce vibe from them in the past

I asked my friend John Q Cheese to recommend some of his terrible music to listen to, and I did. And I didn't hate almost ALL of them. Yeah, I'm stunned too.

Anyways, to re-cap:

Tokyo Police People: Not bad. Definite Strokes vibe, and we all know how awesome the Strokes are. Or were.

J Roddy Walston: I forget what I compared these dudes to. Lemme check...oh yeah, if Georgia Satellites humped the Pietasters. Not bad.

Delta Spirit: Fuck these guys with knife.

1975: Gayer than two boys putting their penii in each other's anii.

Ha Ha Tonka: Just some bros bro-ing out with some booze on the tracks, singin songs bro. Drinkin, singin, fightin an fuckin. I guess.

Vaccines: Fairly forgettable, irritating Elvis Costello vibe. Also, the doofy singer reminds me of the Eels' singer. And that guy sucks.

The Weeks: I got real life mad listening to this.

Bleachers: I got real life madder listening to this. Not a good back to back, BRO.

Sheepdogs: Nice recovery, some bros with beards bro-ing out with guitars and boom boom bap. So it's a rip off of Spirit in the Sky. I'm okay with it.

Cloud Nothings: Another Strokey one, this time featuring the lead singer of Suede. Pass.

Trampled By Turtles LIKE A BITCH: A banjo? A fucking banjo? What are we doing anymore? Go home cheese, you're fucking drunk.

Throwback edition...I'd be stunned if any of these 3 have heard this classic new wave track from Translator:

Rod and FTT however have 100% mortal locks to remember this.

You mean THE 1975? I saw them open for TDCC back in '13.

I've finally MAWGed enough to get into Brazilian Girls. This is my song of the summer (courtesy of 10 years ago). Tremendous chorus.

It's time for America's FAVORITE Game Show, which bands playing at Coachella has BD79 actually heard of???

http://www.esquire.com/entertainment/mu ... 17-lineup/

Note: this is entirely recognizing the name of the artist, not claiming to know a song by them:

Radiohead, DJ Shadow (that one Run The Jewels song, love that song), Guided by Voices

I'll play.

Night 1: Radiohead. Empire of the Sun sounds vaguely familiar.

Night 2: Beyoncé, Bon Iver, Future, Bastille.

Night 3: Kendrick Lamar, Lorde.

I can name songs by Radiohead and Beyoncé. And I know that Bastille song Jike mentioned, but would not have come up with it on my own.

I'm having a hard time coming up with a worse way to spend 3 days. Chicano Batman gets the award for best band(?) name, by the way.
