On a Beatles kick, wanted to post something about them, and lo and behold, we don't have a Beatles thread....uh, dubya tee eff, guys?
10 Most Underrated Beatles Songs In No Order Because That'd Be Toooooo Hard (some of these songs you're gonna say, Hey, that's not underrated, and I understand your sentiment because it's hard for any of their songs to be underrated, but this be one man's opinion):
Ticket to Ride - Yeah, yeah, this is an example of "Hey, that's not underrated," but it is. It is. Nothing is as painful as wanting to listen to this song and realizing it's not on your iTunes anymore for some reason, like some clod hopper had to deal with last week...yeah, I'm a turd.
I've Got a Feeling - everybody had a hard year, everybody had a good time, everybody had a wet dream, everybody saw the sun shine, everybody had a good year, everybody let their hair down, everybody pulled their socks up, everybody put their foot down
Good Morning, Good Morning - the rooster, the horns, the change-ups in time and beats; this is my nomination for most underrated Beatles song.
Glass Onion - The Walrus was Paul, so much is going on here
I've Just Seen a Face - the pace, the words, the beginning strings.
Dig a Pony - This song is perfect. In every way a song can be perfect. I throw up my hands in disgust at the perfection of this song. Lennon thought it was garbage, so, what does he know?
Baby, You're a Rich Man - Awesome high-ass song; a big brown bag inside a zoo? What a thing to do
And Your Bird Can Sing - Harrison. The second time it goes to the refrain, Ringo does something that's good, I don't know what, but it's something. And the way they sing "And your bird Can SING" just gets me.
I Want You (She's So Heavy) - the end is an super sexy orgy feast of music [/Peter Potamus]
Paperback Writer - Again, not underrated. But it is. It is. The harmony and Harrison.
honorable mentions: Happiness is a Warm Gun, Everybody's got something to hide except me and my monkey, Dear Prudence, Cry Baby Cry, Old Brown Shoe, Got To Get You Into My Life, Lovely Rita Meter Maid, Number 9 - Haha, no...I keed I keed, that song is bad...very very very very bad.
