ETA: The Way We Move is the song I like a lot. Its going to be great until I hear it 3 months from now selling the new Toyota Sienna with a bunch of raucous kids in the back wearing butterfly wings and astronaut helmets.

5th'd or whatever on the Avetts. They are solid.

That Ha Ha Tonka that IMS mentioned in his post about Langhorne Slim and the Law is pretty solid. Sampling their catalog this morning on spotify, and I like it.

I like Ha Ha Tonka's third album (Death of a Decade) the best. It features a heavy dose of rock and roll mandolin. They absolutely tear it down live, too. I saw that show from the side of the stage in a gorgeous 300 person capacity venue.

It looks like all the songs that are in their Top Hits on Spotify are from that. Good stuff. Nice.

For Boston, my Arcade Fire review:

I haven't heard it. I'm guessing it will be a disappointment to current fans of Arcade Fire as it's probably a slight departure from what they did on their last album which I think was very popular. So they'll have what I call the "fairweather johnson" backlash and the album won't sell as well, regardless of the actual quality of the music. Final analysis: fans and consumers of music suck, in general.

recently been listening to ATLiens over and over again. holy shit that record has aged well. kanye said yeezus was an attempt to make a minimalist hip hop album, i wouldn't say he failed exactly but i think ATLiens is the full realization of what he was trying to do. the sparse, minimal nature of the production kind of caught me off guard and reminded me that this is what kanye was trying to accomplish. there's only four to five parts of every beat on this record, and they come together to make something far greater.

for those of you who don't listen to rap music, i'd recommend taking a listen to ATLiens. it's a modern classic, a fantastic piece of American art.

I like that review. Its real.
PS: I will never like July 27th. It will always be the day Reggie died. I just hate this day. True Celtic fans know what I mean.

Fri Nov 15, 2013 11:44 pm chrisco lorda mercy, I am going to weigh in on the ozi song doucheoff with two ends of the extreme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsR6yeIxvJ4 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hizpDXPT_Ig. The correct answer is actually THIS from INXS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLm3Khusq_8

because I know australia, music, and everything else better than anyone anywhere ever, i'm going to rate these. your mileage may vary.

8. hey, let's go to a rave, flap some glow sticks around, and who knows, maybe take each other up the ass

and you know that song had to be really bad if it's worst than

7. somewhere in greater fresno, kip winger just finished his shift behind the counter at circle K and is about to head to the library, where if a computer is free he'll play this video over and over, muttering to himself that he really wasn't the worst ever

6. this one ain't much better

5. this song is more than a little gay and the women has an annoying voice. she's kind of got it going on, though i'm sure by now she's followed mister bacon's handbook for blondes and hit the wall in a bad way.

4. I like a few cuts from midnight oil's catalog. unfortunately this isn't really one of them. I guess it's okay, but doesn't make "it" move.

3. lo-fi punk classic. nice.

2. the only one here most of will know. 30 years plus and still fresh and sweet as the dew on monty's taint. great, great song. michael hutchence always came across as gayer than a carnival yet he slayed all kinds of pussy. food for thought.

1. I still say this is the best ever, and it's my list, so i'm right.

You coin contrarian bro and say shit nonsense like this.

Our friends on Youtube have uploaded most of Sun Ra’s full albums.

Great to have on in the background when you’re doing other stuff.

According to Wiki he’s from Alabama, so Jike probably once knew him.
