IDK if this has been posted here before or why I thought of it but the 30 greatest musician on musician burns.

18. Nick Cave on Red Hot Chili Peppers
“I’m forever near a stereo saying, ‘What the fuck is this garbage?’ And the answer is always the Red Hot Chili Peppers.”

Tough, but fair.

19. Kurt Cobain on Guns N’ Roses
“They’re really talentless people, and they write crap music, and they’re the most popular rock band on the earth right now. I can’t believe it.”

Hold up right there, Kurt. They may be emotionally 13 year old drug addicts, utterly without self-awareness or any semblance of a soul, and haven't written a single good song in three decades, but you can't say they're talentless!

He is a professional musician with one very correct opinion. That is all I can tell you.

However, I can vouch for the existence of Neutral Milk Hotel, you cynic you. I listened to their album in my friend's room about 15 years ago. Please, try not to be impressed.

Is your friend named Richard Sez? He's the only other person on the planet I know who actually, legitimately listens to that band.

I caught a last season's SNL finale this weekend. The musical guest was someone named Courtney Barnett, I think. She looked and sounded like a teenage garage band. Like her last 2 gigs were the high school talent show and SNL.

Music fags, please enlighten me: do people enjoy listening to whoever she is?

If the search function was enabled, you would know that us music friends do en joy her work but think her videos are turrible. That being said, she has fun and we have fun listening to them.

She's worth becoming a band that the Wolp has heard of.

I didn't enjoy a single second of the two songs she sang on SNL. I think I'll just forget I've heard of her, but I do appreciate the feedback.
