Balls: I know a guy who came home after high school one day to over hear his mom and dad having a 3some with another lady. He actually went to beat off during it in his room.

Master of Puppets is 30 years old today.

http://www.metalsucks.net/2016/03/03/me ... ago-today/

I still remember 15 year old me dubbing a 90 minute cassette of this and Powerslave from my friend Eric. Each was longer than 45 minutes, so I had to leave off Orion and fade out Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

Ah, summer nights....

Back in high school, i was so bitter that no one wanted to play master f puppets with me, that i devised a haunting and powerful solo piano rendition. It failed to win the talent show, but when the one great scorer comes to mark against my name, he will write not that I won or lost, but how much I rocked balls.

Battery too. so hype, that album. makes the Load/reload era so much sadder.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: "Hero of the Day" is a great song. The rest of those songs are butts.

i liked Load well enough when i was 15. that was the one with king nothing i think...liked that song. it's just not metallica, it's like they decided to be stone temple pilots because those guys were selling a lot of albums and the songs took 3 minutes to write.

Let's not act like their early stuff is Dream Theater-esque in it's complexity.

agree but anything black album or prior is instantly recognizable as metallica. i like my metallica to be exhausting to listen to, i do not want a heady blues riff from them. Stay in your lane/stick to sprots!

I also like Hero of the Day from Load (and The Memory Remains from Re-Load), but haven't listened to them in years.

I only have the first 4 and the Garage EP on my iPhone. Good workout music.

They got old. It happpens. Of course they could have taken a less sellouty path in getting old, but still.
