You knew it was coming as soon as MGM started charging.

I think I'm going to let my MGM status lapse. Getting much better offers from Caesars and Venetian/Palazzo these days.

I don't know what you play but I am strictly table games (BJ and Craps) and I am pleased with my offers from CET, I have heard anecdotally that MLIFE is better for slots and CET for tables but I have no idea if that is the case. I still get teaser offers from MLIFE once in a while but they generally suck. The fact that I have played exclusively at Caesars props the past few years has 99% to do with that since I have not given MGM any play for 5 years or so. I have only walked through V/P and Cosmo but never played in either. Cosmo seems cool (although secret pizza is a stupid concept) and V/P seems way too stuffy but is a nice place...similar to Wynn.

Total Rewards seems to be better lately. I booked my MLK weekend trip a few weeks ago, and other than the resort fee received 3 free nights at Paris. I never remember receiving that offer for that weekend.

I don't think Venetian is too stuffy to play, although I have not had a lot of success there except the one time I won $200 in 15 minutes before our Delmonico's reservation. That never happens.

I found the dealers at Cosmo to be kind of dicks. Also, on weekends the black jack minimums are always $25 and sometimes $50. I had one great run there.

I think Wynn/Encore is 10x as stuffy as Venetian/Palazzo. Rooms are nice at both doe.

I will occasionally play a little bit of slots if I'm looking to kill time and know that I'll need to leave promptly when the time comes. I hate doing that at a craps table because I'm never leaving during a hot roll.

I probably would've moved over to CET by now if it weren't for the one stubborn fact that there's going to be an MGM property an hour away in Springfield, MA in 12-18 months. There's also the new National Harbor property outside DC opening next week. And I don't have to clear customs to gamble in Detroit. However, there are lots of other places where CET would make sense.

The best part about Cosmo IMHO is STK steakhouse. If you ever get the chance to go on someone else's dime I recommend it.

I've never stayed at Cosmo but every time we're going to see a band or something it seems like it's at Cosmo. I always feel kind of unhip in there.

ConExpo convention is in town that week. 129,000 people expected to attend. If you are into construction type guys it could be fun...hey, what happens in Vegas... I am CET not MLife so I really don't know how they work. But do you have host or is the offer a marketing offer? In either event if you are getting a comped room plus FP and RC your host (if you have one) or a general host may be able to do something for you for the room for the extra nights. At CET someone in marketing will do nothing for you. You may already know all of this.

Even though I don't know you (and those that do will tell me what a mistake this is, I am sure) but I never use them so I will offer this up. Every year my host sends me 2 friends and family certificates that are good for 2 (or 3 I don't remember) free nights each. There are no specific blackout dates but the fine print has some qualifier like...subject to availability or something like that. The hotel varies, the last ones were for the Cromwell, last year was Caesars, the year before that was Flamingo I think. I am happy to pass them along but the rub is that he usually sends them to me in my Christmas...sorry my Holiday card in early December so I won't have them for a while. I just threw out the ones he sent me last year that expire next month because I couldn't find anyone that wanted them.

Don't hand them over to Spreadsheet. Seems like there should be some sort of an SOTSG contest for these. I'd suggest using the first week of NFL in some form or fashion. Pick all first week coin tosses. Winner ends up getting your Christmas Holiday card bounty.

Ok, since I am a man of my word. I got my F&F certificates in my Christmas card this week. I think my host is mad at me, he hasn't booked my room yet for my March trip and the F&F certificates he sent me are only good for midweek (I seem to remember that last year they were also ok for weekends but I may be wrong). So in any event I got 2 of them. One of my friends wants one. The other one is up for grabs. It is for 2 free midweek nights at the Cromwell good until the end of September. If anyone is interested let me know.

First come first served seems fair. Nerf I will PM you with my e-mail so you can send me your address. I didn't mention but you still need to pay the stupid resort fee ($25-$30 a night) and need to sign up for a players card. Just do me a favor and if for some reason you don't use it please send it back in case I can find someone else that wants it, although that is unlikely.

Rick lived up to his word. Unfortunately the Cromwell does not have availability for this offer during the AVN Awards when I was planning my visit to Las Vegas. Certificate is being sent back the fine gentleman from *DELETE THAT* and (I assume) is still in play.

Sorry it didn't work out for you Nerf. Yep, it is still available if anyone wants it. I have never used one of these myself but you are the third person that has tried to use one and wasn't able to due to the dates not being available. So if anyone wants it, I think is has to be more of a "can I make my trip fit around available dates vs. I want to go on [specific date, and that date only]".

And Nerf lived up to his word and sent it back (a few weeks ago, I am just lazy and didn't post that until now), and there does not appear to be any traces of deer blood on it so we are good if anyone wants it.

Free drinks harder to find in Vegas?

This is the greatest proof of the decline of civilization since the first episode of that Kardashian show aired.
