My $0.02:

Corporate taxes are an entirely different beast. Why the fuck is Comcast on there?

Years may have been cherry picked. If those numbers remained accurate for a longer spell, say 2006-2016, then I would agree it would put to rest the tax issue. But at least those other guys have released their tax returns for it to be known.

frank is right, ricockadonk to put a corporate on there.

also not clear what is used to calculate the %, given that trump took a major write off for losses, which would skew the numbers when compared to the other two.

even if that is apples to apples, "damaging" in what way?

Dumb American sees graph.

Dumb American says "Trump paid his share, others did not"

Dumb American shuts his ears when you, Bo and Tank say, "Well, actually......"

I ain't telling you it's right

i am very much enjoying the walking back of the tax returns importance. it was a moronic thing to handwring about to begin with. This brings me to another "i hate the left" thought that is not about trump per-se (as i do not like him very much). I have the NPR news app. It pushes notifications to me when it thinks something is newsworthy. you'll be shocked, but the things it finds newsworthy are typically pretty damaging to conservatives. i would turn off the push notifications but i do like the breaking news alerts for non-political things.

This is true. Further, unless there's actual tax fraud on that return, no average American is going to care. Even if there is tax fraud on that return, no American is actually going to care. And no one is going to care that an S-Corp that owns a Trump property in Los Angeles received an equity investment of $50M and a $1B loan guarantee from an Icelandic bank in 2009, even if that Icelandic bank is a known front for various members of the Russian political class because everybody fell asleep when you tried to explain what an S-Corp did.

THIS!

Like it or not, politics (and maybe everything) is now a "hot taek" and "meme" culture. If you can't explain your side's position in less than 15 words, you lose.

The moment that you reach the second paragraph, you've lost engagement.

She deleted the Tweets, but Kristen Bell was SO EARNESTLY posting "Rachel Maddow is EXPOSING Trump right now" Tweets...3 hours after everyone had mocked her for being dumb. I catzed.
