Dude. This is the internet. It exists solely to make fun of people for their choices that have zero impact on you.

Any time I see a guy drinking wine in a "regular bar" I think it's weird. By regular bar I mean a place where you're obviously just going to drink. Those places are for beer and liquor. Frankly, I don't understand why they even have wine on the menu. But I don't see a problem with drinking wine in a restaurant bar. I usually assume those people are just waiting for a table or something, and a glass of wine before dinner seems much more normal/hetero than just pounding glasses of pinot at Sully's Pub.

Unless it is a really good place, wine by the glass offerings normally stink, so I normally would not order a glass of wine at a bar for that reason.

Last year at a conference a few of us went to a dive bar and one of the women asked about their wine selection. The bartender said, "we have one bottle of white wine and you don't want to drink it." She ordered a club soda.

She's a thick Greek girl in her early 30's, probably B's. Good looking enough, likes to drink and be the center of attention. Ironically, she's kind of handsy, but it didn't lead to any hand holding. But then, I'm not a slut like Wolf.

I wasn't asked, but I have a friend that does it, and at times I will look at it on a close call or ask the dealer. I say NBD.

I have one of those. Helped me with a couple good runs at the BJ table in Vegas. I am not FTT or IMS, however.

I'm always okay with people trying to be smarter with their decisions.

Much better than dummies who make wrong moves but then try to justify them.

It's math people, the percentages have been worked out.

TY, yeah i used to look at a card like that on close calls, but maybe annoying if someone has it and is constantly checking it all the time.

Yeah, but to JT's point I'd rather someone use knowledge to make a decision to benefit the table than throw the whole thing off with one bad move.

This cuts to the heart of the matter. I have zero problem with it in general, but I've seen situations such as one with a bachelorette party where the bride-to-be had the card and every card dealt then led to a consultation with everyone else behind her. Slowed the table down a ton. I've seen other pit bosses get testy over consultations with people not playing, but they were tolerant of it in this case. Pissed me off.

Short answer: if you keep the play moving then nbd.
