They do not

JT is correct. I would say the Deep South is Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi.

Further, Virginia and North Carolina are mid-Atlantic.

No one knows what South Carolina is.

that is an excellent fucking answer

south carolina has a lot of weird shit. if you are not in a city (herein defined as a place with 10,000 people), you will A) hear some accents that are not recognizable as english and B) be in very much danger if you are a minority of any race/creed/handicap.

Oklahoma and Texas are like this. It's my terrible, know-it-all opinion, that once you leave cities of more than 10,000 people of wherever you are, be it New Hampshire or Texas or Wisconsin or Viriginia, the regional accent takes over and everybody sounds weird.

you know like when the dickhead school kids tease forrest gump for having leg braces. and for being retarded. same thing. it is not limited to children here. the interesting thing is most of these people would prooooooooobably be classed as intellectually handicapped if tested. could just be the paint fumes though, you huff a couple seconds too long and the lights go off upstairs.

The only time I have had to ask someone to repeat something they said in English because I didn't understand them was outside of Rochester New Hampshire. Kite knows where I mean.
