GAMBLING

A Gambling section has been requested... since sports betting can go into the respective categories I'm not sure how busy a Gambling section would be so use this for now, and if need be I'll set it up.

OK, I'm gonna start posting basketball picks in here following the system that put me up 100 units last season. Follow it exactly as I put it and cash in.
Let me be very clear. I AM NOT A 49ers FAN!!!

Hard to argue, though I think I like the Ravens with the teased points over the Colts to win. But then you know how I feel about Peyton Manning. Anyone on this board who bets on the Colts might as well just start putting in for Yankees World Series futures at All Sports Market.

Snake,

I, too, struggled with the Colts pick. In the end, I figured that the colts would win since they are at home. However, I think it's going to be a close game.

I have done some major research for my picks over the last couple of weeks. I recommend the website below for anybody who is interested in gambling on the NFL. Over the last 5 weeks, their computations have been tremendously accurate.
http://www.fanbay.net/nfl/schedule/2004/week15.htm

I checked out allsportsmarket per your recommendation. It looks like a well-run, well-organized site. However, I have one crticism--one major crtiticism: It's too complicated for the lay person (like myself). I felt like I had to learn a whole new language just to place a wager on that site. Any thoughts?

I was in Vegas for last Sunday's games, and my three-team teaser was killed in the same fashion as your six-teamer. Goddamn Pats. They're back on top now, but I'm still furious that the one time I decide to put money on them they have to blow a lead against the Dolphins of all teams.

Here's my teasers for the week....

San Francisco at New England
San Francisco +20.0 Teaser
...This game worries me the most. I am hoping that NE will pull its offensive starters right away. This means that Davey Rohan will get a chance to complete his fourth pass of the year....I'm betting that S.F. can keep this game from blowing wide open.

Pittsburgh at Buffalo
Pittsburgh +16.5 Teaser
....Pitts D will stuff the run. Then it will be in the hands of Drew Bledsoe. (Need I say more?) Tommy Maddox will play inspired ball. He will be somewhere in the low 90s on the vengeance scale.

Miami at Baltimore
Baltimore -4.5 Teaser
...A rejuvenated Jamal Lewis will be the difference in a very ugly ball game.

Kansas City at San Diego
San Diego +10.5 Teaser
...S.D.'s underrated defense willl hold K.C.'s offense in check. I am confident that S.D.'s defense (and ball-control, steady offense) will keep this game within 10 points.

Bet Type 7.0-Point Teaser on above 4 selections (all selections must be correct to win)

Bet Price 2.80

Bet Amount $1.00

Bet Payout $2.80

Time Placed January 02 11:25

....Yes, you are reading this correctly. I bet $1.00. I just don't feel like wagering a lot of money on games that are meaningless to some teams.

San Antonio at Sacramento (over/under)
Over +188.0 Teaser

San Antonio at Sacramento
Sacramento +8.5 Teaser

5.0-Point Teaser on above 2 selections (all selections must be correct to win)

1.71

$3.00

$5.14

January 02 21:04

....I'm betting peanuts but if you check my record at this site, I'm doing pretty well.

It's Rohan Davey, not Davey Rohan. If you already know this, and there was a joke intended, I apologize. Otherwise, just thought I'd inform you for future reference.

How do people gamble nowadays?

I was under the impression that all the online sites had been shut down.

I don't really gamble anymore, so I have no idea how you go about it.

I know my Amazon Visa through Chase Banks was accepted by Full Tilt a few weeks ago.

in a casino?

just a wild stab...

actually it's pretty amazing that, in my life, it's gone from being just AC and vegas, to basically a casino within a hundred miles of everyone

Yeah, its really strange. There are 3 casinos within 60 miles of my home now. And not riverboat ones, just standard old regular buildings.
