Orange is the New Black

Orange is the New Black

Postby SouthernYokel » 29 Jul 2013, 07:26

You guys should watch this show. It's Netflix only. The main chick was Affleck's wife in Argo I think. Laura Prepon is her prison lesbian lover. It's a tragi-comedy. I went through the first 10 episodes this weekend. Extremely entertaining. Netflix is on a roll with arrested development, house of cards and this show. Anyway, reasons to watch:

-laura prepon and the main character are lesbian lovers
-Jason biggs is the main character's fiancé. he jacks off on camera again (no dong shots, sorry)
-there's a prison guard named Pornstache
-Jodie foster directed one of the episodes that had lots of lesbian stuff in it. Realism!
-there is a "NO TOUCHING" scene in one of the first episodes for George Sr. fans

It's very funny. My only gripe is the funny stuff is usually followed by something terrible happening - it's not poorly done or anything, it's just kind of a comedown.

Is Netflix really getting new shows that are good? Do I need to get stupid Netflix?

i think so. house of cards was good, kevin spacey and all that. i like this show with 3 episodes left, cant imagine them sucking so bad that i wouldn't be interested in the next season. arrested development is probably not for everyone. Netflix is only like $8 a month, since you are probably/maybe/not safe in your job i bet you can swing it. first month free!

Co-sign. You will be so irritated by the instant stream movie options that you will love it.

Also, please start a "Ballz Reviews Netflix Documentaries" thread, it'll be a fucking home run.

I would if I were you. I have it, and although I haven't watched any of the original stuff just yet, I have run through the first two seasons of Always Sunny AND watched the history of the NWO from their vast WWE collection.

Highly recommend.

Is Curb on it?

I dont think Curb has been On Demand in over 2 years. And its NEVER on TV.

Back to the thread...i think this show is about the Flyers.

There are no HBO shows on Netflix streaming. HBO wants people to use their HBO Go service.

Uh, I also recently watched that nWo show as well as a few other WWE shows (CM Punk, Macho Man, Best RAW moments).

I've been going through Parks & Rec. And watched the first few Archer episodes.

They still don't have the "first half" of the last season of Breaking Bad yet and it's been a year. that makes me angry.

Seems to be a trend. They don't have last season's Sons of Anarchy either. I assume they'll drop it in September right before the new season starts. I find that silly.

last year the last season of breaking bad came out the week of the premiere, so hopefully it will come out next week.

I'm on episode 3 right now of this show. Agreed with Yokel, it's really good. Not House of Cards good, but close.

Still about halfway through House of Cards. Need to pick it back up, just haven't been able to get around to it. Interested in this show (duh, lesbians), but has anyone had an experience with getting the wife to watch?
