Anyone see the debut of this Sunday? Great start; it's essentially Band of Brothers in Guadalcanal.

From virtually every review I've seen, the 1st episode is supposed to be one of the weakest, so that bodes well for you if you enjoyed the first ep.

The pacing of the first one was a tad slow, that's about as much detail as I can go into without giving anything away. The last 15 minutes are intense though.

I enjoyed it, but also thought it was a little slow. It did seem they were trying to set up the season.

I had some problem keeping the characters straight since they are no-name actors and were in marine uniforms most of the time.

I have both episodes on DVR and haven't had a chance to watch yet, which is disappointing since my wife's great grandfather was the commander of the 1st Marine Division. I have heard nothing but good reviews.

Although I think last night's episode was the best yet...has anyone else been a little bit disappointed with this series so far? 'Band of Brothers' set the bar pretty high, though.
