They do a pretty unique thing where half an episode will be from one character's perspective, then the other half from a different character. It's kind of told in flashback sequences so it can be rather jarring to see how differently two people remembered the same scene.

I went in with fairly low expectations because I thought it might be a love-drama but it's turning into much more of a mystery whodunit type puzzle.

Is that the one with McNulty?

Is that the one with Maura Tierney? I would eff the ess out of her, even now that she's in her 50s.

I always get her and Carla Gugino mixed up, who I've been in love with since her four eps as Michael J. Fox's girlfriend at the start of the ABC classic Spin City.

Yep, it's the one with McNulty and Tierney (WOULD!). Also Pacey from Dawson's Creek.

Slow burn, great drama.

I watched the first few and dropped it a few years ago. I did like that Rawls played McNulty's father in law.

Cough cough try https://kodi.tv/ cough cough.

I don't think its good for streaming shows that just aired, but if you are looking for an interesting confluence of black boxes and streaming TV, then spend $40 on Amazon for something that runs this. It should have most everything you need just a few weeks old. It also does movies.

I started The Expanse Season 1 on Amazon Prime. First episode is good. Some of the casting choices are weird, but whatever, I'm in for the season. The books are good enough to compel me to watch if nothing else.

I started the 2nd season of Mozart in the Jungle last night. Monica Belluci shows up and shows her titties. Those are really nice 52 year old titties. Anyway, the show is the same. It's good, for what it is. I think it's a little over-hyped but i do enjoy it.

While I appreciate Sco offering his haggard, off brand black market option, this is actually something I might be interested in.

So, if I read this correctly you'd be able to basically ditch Roku and antenna for this device to bundle local programming and Sling/Flix/etc into one device? If so then I'm listening as well.

I'm not sure what that does for me that I don't already have, except make them slightly easier to get to. Doesn't seem worth $130 to me, but maybe.

Kodi is actually pretty well established and respected. I've thought of making the leap many a time.

I've recently cut the cord in favor of Sling TV and an HD Antenna run through XBox One. So far, it's been a bit troubling as Sling seems to lock up screens a lot and not allow me to pick a show.

I'm wary.

Yeah, that's my main issue with Sling. It can get bitchy. Still better than a $200 cable bill, though.
