Movies you're embarrassed to like

Postby Briandong79 » 13 Apr 2012, 10:07

I thought we had a thread like this but I couldn't find it, so if I just missed it, please let me know.

Anyway, the discussion about Sister Act in the 'box, and therefore of Whoopi Goldberg, reminded me that I actually thought Ghost was a really good movie. I haven't seen it in a few years so it might feel dated or whatever now, but I really liked it at the time.

That movie was perfect background noise while my HS girlfriend and I groped each other on the couch.

You should be embarrassed about that, bd. Best Whoopi movie was Jumpin' Jack Flash.

I remember watching this with my parents and feeling really awkward during the clay/lovemaking scene. Not a bad flick. That Carl....so smug.

Should I be embarrased that I liked Norbit (9 from critics on RT) and Jack and Jill (3 on Rotten Tom)? No, I am not embarrased. I like to laugh.
PS: I will never like July 27th. It will always be the day Reggie died. I just hate this day. True Celtic fans know what I mean.

I'll actually watch the body guard when it's on. I think Costner gives a good accounting of himself. And when he gets shot towards the end...

Also on Costner, I'll watch for love of the game if I see it's on and the sublime robin hood prince of thieves.

Enchanted. Amy Adams, Susan Sarandon, Taye Diggs' thick white wife and that guy from Grey's Anatomy. Watch it every time it's on TV.

What are people's thoughts on the movie Life, with Murphy and Lawrence? I think its a classic. Just watched it again last night on Cinemax. But hey, I like to laugh.

Underrated. Possibly the last really good Eddie Murphy movie.

TY. I put it in this thread because I feel like it gets a bad rap.
