So after months I finally got around to seeing Appaloosa. Not one you're going to like if Spaghetti Westerns are more your speed, but if you enjoyed High Noon, Open Range or Lonesome Dove I'd suggest it. Viggo Mortensen is pretty outstanding.

I watched The Ox-Bow Incident over the weekend. Powerful film. I really enjoyed it. Holds up pretty damn well given its age, as do most of Henry Fonda's movies. Also, it's a nice, quick watch (75 mins).

Lofty film.

Finally watched "Once Upon a Time in the West." Great movie. Fonda is awesome as the cold-blooded killer, and Charles Bronson as the hero to save the day is just all kinds of bad-ass.

Plus, it has one of, if not my, all-time favorite movie song ever on there.

Cool, Jike. Top 5 favorite movie ever for me. You have to mention Claudia Cardinale though. I've probably said it before, but if my 'List' question had the option of time travel, Claudia Cardinale circa 1969 is the easy #1 for me.

I remember her. Good lord she was hacienda hot.

I want to see a Porno Gil Time Travel version of the list. I would also request a Mr Bacon Mad Men version of the list if I didn't think the red head would get all 5 spots.

based upon recommendations here i recently saw the Searchers and the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Searchers gets a meh-minus from me. not that it's a bad movie but apparently i just can't get that into movies from the 50's or earlier, the acting seems so stilted and unrealistic. i have a short attention span. GBU on the other hand was awesome. clint eastwood was great, there was humour, action, and a compelling story. i'm definitely going to rewatch that one.

Definitely check out A Fistful of Dollars and For A Few Dollars More as well. That loose trilogy is outstanding.

i watched this last night and agree with everything jike said. i find westerns very rewatchable, i can have them on and kind of like a baseball game i don't really have to pay attention that much, good background noise.
