In this film a bomb is discovered and turned over to some filthy foriegners, who i never really deciphered where they are from. They use this atom bomb to bomb a stadium in baltimore, and try and blame it on russia, to get those two nations to destroy each other. This was entertaining enough, but some pretty goofy shit happens throughout. I was shocked when the bomb actually went off though. I figured the movie would be affleck and freeman figuring it out and stopping the bombing, so when they actually murked a stadium full of people it was like whoa, something actually happened in this film that wasn't just a basic feel good movie. Of course the president got out alive. He was played by a familiar looking actor. The warden from the green mile. I was also intrigued by affleck's girlfriend. She was normal person attainable sexy. A hollywood 10 /ball

Oh yuck, it was that faggot tom's ex, moynihan. I withdraw my compliments counselor. there were some other famous people in this. Bookman, sheriff farley, and the black coach from Rudy. I'd rec this for sure, but just don't go in with realistic expectations. A nuclear bomb and barely anyone important in the city died. Ok jan.

The Sundance Film Festival is in Park City this week. For years I ignored it, but the past few years I have tried to embrace it and see a few films. I have seen three this year. A lot of these will be picked up by Netflix, Amazon or something. Here are my previews.

The Devil We Know

https://www.thedevilweknow.com/

Documentary about DuPont polluting water in the Ohio River Valley and West Virginia. Makes you hate corporations even more than you might presently. Interesting for sotsg-law as the lawsuit stuff is interesting and entertaining. One of the lead lawyers was from a firm in Cincinnati, William Howard Taft's old firm, and he was at the premiere and was a pretty engaging guy. If you like documentaries, I can't imagine you would not enjoy this.

Summer of '84

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5774450/

I only saw one episode of Stranger Things, but this movie had the same vibe. The 80's nostalgia did not add much to the experience, but some things were fun to see. The first 10 minutes are slow, followed by a very entertaining hour, and an over the top ending that in my opinion detracts from the movie. It is a thriller. The girl that plays the 20 year old neighbor is very cute. Worth watching, but not a great movie.

Piercing

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt6516314/

Supposed to be a comedy/thriller. Is awful. Do not watch. MTM or DtheF would see it and probably love it and tell me I couldn't appreciate it because I am a MAWG from the midwest and the meaning is lost on me.

Caught a couple movies on the flight back...

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets - I thought I'd give this a chance on the off chance it was actually decent and just got a bad wrap. Nope. The dialog and plot makes you long for the smoothness of Attack of the Clones. Some of the CGI critters looked like cast offs from Jar Jar Binks undersea army. Rihanna is in this. She's so terrible in it that you want to watch Battleship to get the stink of her performance off. The only thing that I really took from his movie is that I'm going fashion forward and hopping on team #strongbrow.

Air America - Tom Cruise does Tom Cruise things in a story you've seen a bunch of times. I was happy to see the ginger guy from Black Mirror getting work. 31 will like this movie when he gets around to watching it in 7 years. I didn't hate it. #coolreviewsco

The Ginger Guy from Black Mirror is in the most recent Star Wars movies as one of the main bad guys and has been in like 10 movies in the last 2 years, he's not struggling for work. Also, I don't remember the name of this movie but I know they didn't steal the title of a classic Mel Gibson/Robert Downey Jr. joint.

In fairness to me, I've only seen 6 other movies this guy has been in and the last one of those was 5 weeks ago.

You are also right about the name of the movie. Its actually Operation Dumbo Drop and not Air America.

Hold on, that's wrong too. Its American Made.

Which ginger guy are we talking about? The one that died and came back as a sex robot?

My sister was telling me about American Made the other day, said I'd like it. I'll have to check that one out.

Yes. He was Ash in Black Mirror. He's also Weasely in the Potter movies. Besides General Hux, he was also in Deus Ex Machina and a couple other things I've forgotten in the ten minutes since imdbing him.
