that's true, that should be on there, egregious. it's a cliche now which i guess makes it the most identifiable thing from the entire movie. i like when he shoots spider better.

Ha, I think the second time is the clear winner.

I agree re:funny how, scene. It doesn't do anything for me anymore, but that is the most famous scene of the movie, and for good reason. Quite possibly the greatest character introduction of all time.

I also love the jump cut from the boys telling Tommy's mom to go back to bed to them all eating around the table. Classic.


I read the book over the weekend. It is remarkable how much of the screenplay was taken almost word for word from the book.

Interesting. Although I hear the Nightclub scene was either not in it, or just a complete throwaway that Scorsese just ran with.

I believe that you are correct, the nightclub scene wasn't in it in any detail.
