Napoleon Dynamite

Napoleon Dynamite

Postby Frank the Tank » 14 Sep 2005, 12:36

I know there are a lot of fans of Napoleon Dynamite on the board. Apparently Microsoft got Jon Heder to film a short spoof with Bill Gates where Dynamite pretends to be a new Microsoft employee. If anyone has any luck finding a link to an electronic version of this I (and others) would be eternally grateful.

http://www.utah-state-fair.com/

The Utah State fair is using some shorts that they filmed with Napoleon and Pedro to help promote the fair. Pretty funny stuff. Follow the link and then go down to "Napoleon's Sweet ads."

Heder and the Director are mormon and I believe that they met at BYU, so it all makes sense. Pretty funny stuff.

Well, thank you. I am glad that you could put down your bong long enough to write something so prophetic and accurate.

It was a really awkward and stupid movie. The scenes were choppy, the storyline was stupid, and his portrayal of Napolean is overrated/ Huge expectations, a lot of hype, all of which comes crashing down= a bad movie.

"his portrayal"? I don't know if you were aware of this _ but this wasn't a biopic. Or did the movie lose points from you for inaccuracy since Napoleon wasn't banished to Elba at the end?

If anyone finds the clips I'd love to see 'em.

Napolean Dynamite was brilliant _. Get your head out of your ass.

I agree with _, that guy was WAY too tall to play Napolean.

His portrayal of Napolean Dynamite sucked. I just didn't think it was good, in my opinion.

It's ok to admit that you don't have a sense of humor.

You should say the character he helped to create sucked. That is an opinion you're entitled to. However he nailed the character he was aiming for. The "portrayal" was first-rate.
