I could see both Montreal and 'Sofa getting knocked out in round 1. But I'm going with it.

I haven't seen the money line on this series yet, but given that Ottawa is 8-1 to win the East and Montreal is 9-2, you've got to figure it's around +160 for Ottawa -190 for Montreal. With apologies to fb's ghost, gotta take the +160 there.

You made that post confusing. Who even knows what conference some of these teams are in. What a sport!

I will go with STL over TB for my selection.
PS: I will never like July 27th. It will always be the day Reggie died. I just hate this day. True Celtic fans know what I mean.

Twelve straight one goal games for the Rangers in this year's playoffs. With about 13-14 mins left and the Rangers up 4-1 Pierre Maguire suggested the Caps should throw in the towel and pull Holtby to rest him for Game 7. Eddie Olczyk quickly shot that idea down. Good call Eddie.

WOOD GRETSKI HAVE GIVEN UP??? idk if that's a thing in hockey.

Rangers, according to 538, would be the most balanced scoring champion in NHL history among lines if they win. Good Talk.

Make that fourteen one goal games (4 and 5 against the Kings plus the 12 this year); also the 3rd straight Game 7 victory on May 13th. Holtby was really good that series, I admit I was worried after Nash didn't bury that shorthanded breakaway opportunity in the 1st but then I remembered it's Rick Nash in the playoffs and there was still plenty of time left for others. Also, they're not the Islanders so they could manage more than 11 shots in an important game.

that was the most half ass breakaway attempt by nash I've ever seen. At least among similarly skilled offensive players. I was told by 3 different people not to jinx it by saying the Rangers win 3 straight game 7s on my birthday, and clearly...CLEARLY that was the difference. All respect to the Caps, they defended the crease like motherfuckers for 70 minutes, but the second they let up...
I almost feel bad for Ovechkin, but you don't try to messier the Rangers. Bad karma. Not how you do.

Dominic Moore, always nice to see the GRITSCRAPGRINDERS score big goals; This team is so much better defensively than last year, I can't even describe it; Who cares that the team is screwed for like 15 years because of the St louis and Yandle trades;

I was feeling confident enough to make my terrible Rangers of Castamere joke IRL. I was punched. Would do again

The beauty of overtime playoff hockey

I say it every year, but Doc Emrick is the best play-by-play man in sports
