I dunno. They might have been better off just accepting that they're in a world of suck for the next four years, then hoped to have a lot more money to get better in 2011-2012. Now they have a little more ammo to help them now, but will still be handicapped by a not-insignificant-in-the-hockey-economy $2.2M per year from 2011-2015.
