A New Era: The Halaal Maple Leafs 2009/10

Postby jack_daniels » 30 Jul 2005, 20:30

Oh you KNEW it was coming! :)

Ferguson makes a BARGAIN deal today, picking up Jeff O'Neill from the Hurricanes for a conditional 4th ROUND pick. O'Neill is a stud, great defensive player, goes hard on the forecheck and a fantastic offensive player. Scored 41 goals and 67 points in 00-01 season. Young offensive legs, who can come back and play great D, just what the Leafs need for the upcoming season.

J_D: Your thoughts on a temporary refurbishing of the Gardens and having one or two Leafs games a year there against longtime rivals (Montreal, Detroit, Boston)?

Fergie made a somewhat good, but somewhat shaky and risky deal today getting Jason Allison for a one year $1.5 million contract. This guy's a stud offensively, he had a career high 95 points with the Bruins so his offensive skills I don't question, what I do question is if he can stay healthy and avoid the Lindros-esque concussions. And he better not flop like Nolan did.

Sorry fb, for the double post but it's been 2 ddays. I've decided that for my ascension into 3rd place, I'd just like to say

THE LEAFS FUCKIN RULE BITCHES!!! YEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!

To be serious, the Leafs are going to have some serious competition this year. A LOT of teams are stacking up. Gonna be an exciting season from the looks of it.

The Leafs are gonna have some serious competition this year. As opposed to every other year when they just run away from the league?
