the opportunity cost of knowing how to preheat an oven is pretty puny compared to anything else

He doesn't suck, but he's not a $40 million dollar player. A $40 million dollar marketing item, sure. But please don't let this dampen any of your fake outrage about the Knicks letting him walk.

I don't like its chances. I give it about as much hope as all the other threads I've started for teams no one on here cares about.

Great thread title by the way?
PS: I will never like July 27th. It will always be the day Reggie died. I just hate this day. True Celtic fans know what I mean.

Shammy probably likes it.

You would have preferred Sons of Allen Leavell, I take it?

Pretty good trade for the Rockets. Especially puzzling for the Thunder given that they apparently offered a deal that 4.5 mill short of the max and got turned down, but would not offer the max.

Harden is not worth the max though.

To offer 55.5 for 4 but trade him away because you won't go to 60/4 is a bit silly. Overpaying him by a million and change a year is better than Kevin Martin at 13 million for one year. Meanwhile, Houston got Harden for a guy they were trying to dump and who would have left after this year anyways, Lamb and 2 picks that are not even their own (dallas and toronto), only one which will likely be in the lottery.

Edit: Dallas' pick is top 20 protected through 2017. Raptors pick is top 3 protected for 2013. The trade might save OKC some money (depending on what they do with Martin after his deal expires), but in basketball terms, this was a steal for Houston.
