First name is coach, second/third names are captains, and the other players are the rest of the roster. Is that what you meant?

This league is straight out of 2005.

Twice as many Hawkeyes in the 3 on 3 league as there are in the NBA!

Doesn't seem to really fit the demographics.

My Hawkeye thing isn't a complete shoehorn because they might be 2 of the leading candidates to start one of the aforementioned brawls.

His back is shit.

Apparently they're getting paid based on final seeds/how far you advance/winning it all. They might kill each other.

I was gonna invite you over for the Basketball Tournament final, but its no longer at Fordham. We could have done the zoo and botanical garden afterwards.

Because it was at Fordham last year, it got a lot of local play and was full of cool stories. I think a bunch of ex college dudes who play overseas took the $2 million prize over a reunited former college team...the Buffs, Notre Dame, and the Final Four Butler squad all suited up.

Looks like it was Colorado who made it to the finals against Overseas Elite:

Holy shit that looks awesome. DeAndre Kane! Overseas Elite, that's a helluva moniker.

As awesome and fun to watch as he was, never a top 5 player, and not even the best guy on his own team. Even if he stays sober and healthy, I think his career comes up short of other contemporary power forwards such as Malone, Barkley, Nowitzki, KG etc.

Can you work your way back into the prison yard and give me a "Top 5 Retired NBA Players Who Are Remembered Too Fondly"?

This is a good one! Limiting it to HOF caliber guys from the 90's on.

5 - Kemp. Explained above. Still awesome.
4 - Pippen - Just for the mouthbreathers like Simmons and the usually better-than-this Zach Lowe who insist he was top 20 all time. WTH. If he was better than Malone, Ewing and Barkley, why Jordan the GOAT for having the TWO best players in virtually every series? Great player, but there is nobody else who's remotely considered for top 20, who hasn't either won a title as a team's #1 guy or came damn, damn damn close and Scottie's just not there.
3 - Robert Horry - I know he's mostly properly rated, but morons think he belongs in the HoF. Grinds my gears.
2 - Iverson - Goddamn kills me. Loved the guy. Few were more fun to watch and many of his critics were petty. But in retrospect, he was a guy who never could have won a ring. Needed his own team to do his thing, but needed a second star who never could have coexisted. Still a great HoF player, but for the purposes of this exercise, I'd say somebody like Ray Allen was the better player and that is not how i read the general fondness of memory rankings.
1 - Marcus Camby - probably not REALLY a HoF caliber player, but if Dikembe is in, who the f knows. Supremely fun to watch on the Knicks, but maybe the most overrated player I can remember. When he won the DPoY in Denver [BLOCKZZZ], they were one of the worst defensive teams in the league. When they gave him away to the Clippers for practically nothing, they immediately became one of the best. Why? Because he sucked at every other aspect of defense besides weak-side shot blocking. He got steamrolled in the post, couldn't switch for shit on the pick and roll, and even worse, I swear like 5 times a game he left his man to overzealously challenge a shooter or driver, and then give up a wide open tip-in.

I am with you on 4 and 5.

However, does anyone with any sense actually think Horry belongs in the Hall of Fame? That is so stupid, that I only think really stupid people would actually believe that, and it would have to be a really small number.

Iverson dragging that Sixers team to a Finals, makes me think he is not overrated on any level. I guess you could argue that was one year only, and the rest of the time he hurt his team, but that was really impressive.

If Camby being beloved a Knick thing? I never thought anyone thought of him as anything but a good to a really good NBA player

It's a small number, but disproportionately in the media. I think even Simmons said it once, and I know he's a moron, but he should really know better.

I hear that, I just feel like looking back, that was his ceiling to drag an overachieving team of role players past where they should have gone, whereas I used to think, and many others still do, that with better teammates he could have been the #1 guy on a chipper. I just don't see it.

If Camby being beloved a Knick thing? I never thought anyone thought of him as anything but a good to a really good NBA player

Maybe. There seems to be an idea that he was a much more significant player than he actually was, and I think that highly undeserved DPoY validated that thinking. Maybe it's a stretch putting him here, but I felt like he came up in discussion within the last 6 months on this very bored, which is odd.

Lou Roe was a better college player than Camby. Porno knows what I mean.
PS: I will never like July 27th. It will always be the day Reggie died. I just hate this day. True Celtic fans know what I mean.

Let me know when you want to talk about UMass having the greatest guard tandem in Puerto Rican national team history. After that we can discuss the Bruiser Flint era.
