Global Icon or Cowardly Betrayer? the Lebron James Story

Postby Dr Jeckyll » 11 Dec 2008, 10:01

discussion of 2010 seems to be all the rage these days in NBA circles. what will happen to everyone? did lebron, dwade, bosh, amare, steve nash and dennis rodman all make some kind of secret pact to play for the knicks? post your thoughts here...... going out on a limb, ill say amare and nash go to the knicks and most of the other guys stay where they are.

Will Nash even be able to walk at that point? I could see the Knicks signing him anyway. Mike D loves him. Nash and Raja Bell will sign together wherever, they are open lovers.
PS: I will never like July 27th. It will always be the day Reggie died. I just hate this day. True Celtic fans know what I mean.

The salary cap will magically disappear and the Knicks will sign literally EVERY free agent in the NBA because, heaven forbid New York not be successful in a professional sport for any length of time.

Its bad for the sport for a cornerstone franchise like the Knicks to be irrelevant. :P

You just wait Balls. You just wait 'til the NBA has its Boston - New York rivalry and we'll see how the cookie crumbles.

I wonder how long it will take for the most beatwriter to acknowledge that a team with Nash as their starting PG will never win shit because he cant guard a bowl of lukewarm poop let alone any other warm substance with or without a pulse.

Anyways, there is no such thing as a pact to all play for the knicks because in the end its all about the Benjaminz. If Bron bolts to NY he will go from playing start the offense with him at the top of the key with 4 backups waiting for a kick out to Bron starting the offense at the top of the key with 4 backups waiting for a kick out but without the defense the Cavs now have.

New York's trying to clear serious cap space though, which could mean LeBron and Chris Bosh in New York. That's what some of the jerk-offs who are spending 2008 pontificating on this are saying, at least. Also, amen on Steve Nash. I've never seen someone who was such a liability 50% of the time and who cried so often be praised as "HEART OF A WARRIOR!"

Better example, in my opinion (and a pic with Nash, to boot):

i agree that steve nash has always been incredibly overrated, but does he cry alot? i haven't noticed.... i have noticed that chris duhon has been playing at a very high level since he got in d'antoni's system.

Our favorite Tweeter's post from last night:
Eff it, I'm throwing it out there: LeBron as a 2010-11 Clip? Only Griffin/Baron/Kaman/Gordon under contract next summer. Hmmm.

While I think there's about a 1% chance that happens....Baron's a PG, Gordon's a SG, Kaman is a true C, Griffin is a PF.....LeBron would fit into that lineup pretty seamlessly. Get some hustle guys coming off the bench and a coach he likes, combined with the LA scene and a chance to basically go one--on-one with Kobe...it does make a little sense.

I hadn't thought about it before but it makes sense to me too, in several different ways.

Damn you our favorite tweeter. First, making sure the Cavs did not win the title by making a futures bet on them and then bragging about it incessantly and now this.

I also had never considered this possibility, but it makes a lot of sense, almost too much sense.

And Cavs front office, please don't sign Artest. Ariza makes more sense, thanks.
