Jesus Christ could this guy sound more like a pussy? "Wahhh they don't have the whole night dedicated to ME wahhhhh"

It was gonna be hard to surpass IT's femininity about this whole issue, but Pierce done did it.

He comes across as whiny, but he's 100% right. Why did IT even deserve a tribute to begin with? He had one good year with the team and got traded. Waah. There's literally zero reason for him to even be thought about during Pierce's ceremony. How is this a discussion?

Because during the entirety of last season Simmons and his pops wouldn't stop gushing over him and how he's fast becoming their favorite player and how there's this great bond that's been developed right in front of our eyes and no one outside of Celtics fans would understand it. I was lead to believe there's something more to this than just one decent player staying a couple years in your average city.

And Pierce is my least favorite player too (actually second after KG). Pulling this shit, that lame stuff with the wheelchair, spitting at opponents, guy is a disgrace to the male species. Draymond Green has costed my team two championships and counting but I will never look at that man wrong after he clowned Pierce during his last season with the clips when he tried to have a kobe farewell type of tour but no one gave a fuck.

Indeed, that was good.

You also left out the part where Bill claimed that he'd rather the Celtics suck for another decade and let Pierce retire a Celtic, no matter how good the trade offer was. Then he wrote a creepily homo-erotic farewell sonnet ("We watched him become a man!") that was as disturbing as it was full of shit. Needless to say, just 4 years after that trade, you don't see him whining about how they should have let Pierce go out in green, and what a terrible tragedy it was.

So... We are piling on Pierce about this IT nonsense because Bill Simmons is a moron? I love this place.

Where do we rank Paulie on the all time Celtic list?

Both Simmons and Zach Lowe said that Horford is the clear cut starter in the East at center over Embiid.

So who’s starting? I haven’t heard any updates.

They just named the captains tonight, the teams haven't been picked.

Don't they have the "big man" rule, so you don't necessarily have to pick a center? Horford is the exact type of player they invented the rule for, even overlooking the fact that Embiid is better.

It's technically 2 guards and 3 front court but after they decided a Kyrie-Oladipo-Derozan-LeBron-Giannis lineup would be cheating, they both picked Horford.

I generally like Zach Lowe, but everytime he goes on Simmons podcasts he temporarily becomes a bottom 5 human being. I'm cringing just reading that sentence.
