Well-played. Bad job by me. I was referring to this.

Not only did I take the time to watch youtube clips of DeAndre Jordan dunking all over and stuffing on the other end a bunch of 6-10, earthbound Chinese big men, but I took the time to read through the comments section and laugh at the dumbasses asking why Jeremy Lin wasn't playing. I think I have serious problems.

How many teams in the Olympics could America field before another team out-placed them? I'm thinking four. Maybe five.

I'll go a little higher, 7 or 8. There's a lot of good foreigners but not a lot of good foreigner national teams, Slovenia and Spain are basically it. ETA: And maybe Canada.

Could go higher if you disperse stars properly.

Like, no need for Team 1 or 2 to have stars on the bench. Add some role players there.

Fair point. I was looking at it as 1-12 for the A-team, 13-24 for the B-team, all the way down. If we're spreading out the stars so there are 4-7 on each team and complementary pieces, ten may not be out of the question.

What's the rest of the world looking like right now? Spain's stars are aging out (minus Rubio). Argentina's great generation of stars (Ginobili, etc) are way past their prime. Canada? France? Australia? Croatia? Dominican Republic?

I read some guy some where write about Canada having some of the best 18 year olds in the world, so maybe we can look for them in Paris or Los Angeles?

USA barely won against both Serbia and France in rio 2016 (both by 3 points). The days of USA dominating like they used to are over. You'll need all you can get to win the gold medals from now into the future.

Serbia is good, my bad. But just toss them in with Slovenia, Canada, and Spain. We're still looking at like 5-8 USA teams ahead of them.

There's great players obviously, but is Latvia winning a medal with just Kristaps?
