I'd rather try to improve Heyward, given how much they are paying him, than adding another salary as I pay Hayward a shitton of dollars to sit. Seems like poor roster and salary management. Reasonable people may differ.

I'm meaning it more in a generic "if I was a team that needed an outfielder" not using the clever first person use for my favorite team that is so popular around here.

I don't have any issue with Heyward, he's the best defensive outfielder the Cubs have had in my lifetime. His offense isn't great but they have a few decent hitters in the lineup.

Heyward is a great defender and a very shitty player on offense. I'm actually surprised how bad he's become.

That contract is an albatross even if WAR and sabermetrics says he's good.

Agreed. Also, who's Vin Scully?

And interview, that sounds made up.

Cant believe the Vin-Man is going out this year.

Seriously that was effing weird yesterday when they played Wind Beneath My Wings, sung by Vin Scully for the crowd.
PS: I will never like July 27th. It will always be the day Reggie died. I just hate this day. True Celtic fans know what I mean.

I have to agree, although the Vin Man's pipes were not that bad.

I'm already flyered for Washington-LA in the NLDS.

Me too.

Is Stras gonna get the sand out of his cooter in time for the playoffs?

http://www.ocregister.com/articles/hote ... thier.html

When the Dodgers came to Chicago to face the Cubs at the end of May, the team stayed at the same hotel they have been using for years – the Trump International Hotel and Tower near the Chicago River. Their Mexican-American first baseman did not.

“I didn’t stay there,” Adrian Gonzalez confirmed. “I had my reasons.”

Oh okay.

Gonzalez smiled as he declined to specify his reasons for not staying at the team hotel in June, saying, “We’re here to play baseball not talk politics.”

Then why bring it up? Jesus Thunderlipped Christ. How did people find out about it? Just say no comment in the first place.

The fact that it says he "confirmed" tells me someone from the Dodgers told the reporter, and the reporter asked A-Gon

Good read on Rich Hill
http://www.sbnation.com/mlb/2016/10/18/ ... phic-novel

I remember him having just an absolutely amazing curveball back in his original run with the Cubs. Pretty cool story how he has saved his career. I hope he gets his dick knocked off tonight.
