The numbers indicate the players who touched the ball. 3 only touched it once. There's no such thing as 3-3.

The numbers indicate how the outs were recorded out 1 was 3, out 2 was 3 and then out 3 was 5, that a 3-3-5.

Exactly. Just liked 6-4-3 double play.

Out1 was 6, out 2 was 4, and then...

Correct, generally it's scoring who touches the ball, not the outs. But a 3-5 doesn't really make sense when you're scoring 3 outs so I think everyone is using the 3-3-5 nomenclature for clarity sake. I don't think either is necessarily wrong.

For the record, I'm really just perpetuating this argument to be antagonistic. I think the 3-3-5 scoring is odd, and some baseball purist somewhere who wants the game to be played the way Jike remembers it, I think he'd tell you it's technically wrong. But I don't give any actual fuck's how you want to score it.

i given an actual fuck that you misspelled actual fucks. unneeded apostrophe, gee arr arr arr!

i agree with the donger re clarity, using 3-3-5 on a triple play helps you see which of the two players involved in the triple play recorded two of the outs.

Good catch, Yoke. There's no way I misspelled fucks onlurpose. In fact my phone just autocorrected it again to add an incorrect apostrophe. I hate wrong apostrophes. Like, too much. Cross post grrrr thread.

How many balls do they use a game? How much do they pay per ball?

I'd imagine it's about 75 per game.

I'm catching up on old posts, and I just wanted to say this argument was delightfully cunty.

There's a Wolf family legend that my great-uncle was recruited as a "debt collector" by that Patriarca guy's organization. He declined the offer, and to my knowledge never became a mob hitman like this dude. Cool story, Wolf.
