I do. I've been keeping my eye on this race, as its much closer than the AL one, AKA Trout's Playground.

4. David Wright. The Mets are 1 game out of a Wild Card, and its no accident. Wright has had a great year. Dude has a rake.
3. Yadier Molina. Its no accident that the Cardinals are going to be in the playoffs for the 19th straight year. Yadier is a leader. Leaders lead and catch pitches.
2. Brice Harper. Pfft. Animal. He's on pace for like 35 bombs. They dont make like this guy anymore.
1. Kris Bryant. He's poised to join the elusive 30/30 club. And oh yeah, lead the Cubs to the best record in baseball. #BRIB

Balls knows baseball.

Wait until he's on the Yankees in two years. Holy boners!

So hard he's won the MVP twice, rather than the five times he should have?

Yup. My boy Mookie paid for those tragic oversights.

Zip it, Craig. Trout led his team to a 74-88 record. Talk about valuable!

I seriously dont understand how his stats are that great. He's always around 30 and 100. This year he batted .315, 29 dongs, and 100 ribbies. I saw he had 30 steals and possibly led the league in runs scored. OK? Thats MVP stuff?
PS: I will never like July 27th. It will always be the day Reggie died. I just hate this day. True Celtic fans know what I mean.

His power numbers were bad this year, that's why I was surprised that he got it, especially with the team record. Otherwise, 5th in average, first in runs, 2nd in steals is pretty good.

If they went by defense, Betts would have smoked him.

In general I dont like giving it to a guy on a shitty team. I also think that if a team has 2 MVP contenders then by definition neither are the MVP. Puma (the guy who voted Murphy) is a troll but I actually agree with his reason.

Like I said he's a troll and generally brings no info on the Mets even though he's their beat guy. His reasoning here still makes sense.

So the only deserving MVP is a guy on a really good team where he's the only good guy?

No that isnt the "only" deserving guy but if it's between 2 people and one carried the team then yes, he deserves it.

I'm okay with Murphy not winning, I'm sure that Bryant striking out in the 9th inning, with the bases loaded and no one out, twice in a week against the Mets and Murphy killing the Mets skewed his view too.

As far as hierarchy to me being the best guy on the best team even with a good supporting cast is more valuable than being one of the best players in the league but on a shitty team.
