Luckily for you that it worked out that the AL had home field for your AL-type team to take advantage of this past season. No way the Cubs win if they had home field and Schawrber the Magnificent on the bench for 4 games.
In conclusion, Bogus Championship.
I agree that 4 games with Schwarber and not being at home when Chapman gave up the homerun helped a lot.
not having either Napoli or Santana in the line up in Chicago, or having Santana play a few innings of outfield, hurt the Indians more than having Schwarber out of the line up for the Cubs.
Will #tpt #theny #torture be re-signing Napoli? I'll hang up and stick needles into my eyes
Napoli wants to stay with the Indians and the Indians want to re-sign him but I think the Indians are rightfully concerned about his ability to stay healthy and how long he can continue to be productive. He had a very rough end of the season and post season. So if his agent can find a team that can give him 3 years at 12 million per or over he is gone. If that is not on the market, I can see the Tribe going 2 years at 10 million per, with a club option for a 3rd. I would be comfortable with that.
It is baseball so those numbers may be low as his qualifying offer was over $17 million which the Indians did not make.
So I guess we will see. #tpt, #theny, #rallytogether
