I picked the wrong game to go to; we also booed the webbings of Cabrera and Conforto's gloves plus we booed the video department. Nothing went right yesterday

I thought we were going to get a Dusty Baker moment last night; Strasburg was at 113 pitches through 6 and he hit for himself in the top of the 7th yet didn't go out in the bottom of the 7th; they changed pitchers and brought in 4 defensive replacements. None of those guys could've used an AB?

Degrom has been garbage dude. I'm still keeping my eye on this but no apologies on that front. Noah will continue to get a pass. For now.

I think Smithy was being modest here:

"There’s obviously a bit of crossover as cricket and baseball are both bat and ball sports but there are some different skills between the two. I don’t think we could just walk out there and hit home runs straight away like these guys but the same would be true of the baseball batters trying to deal with the bowlers we face."

I think he'd lead the NL in every statistical batting category within 6 months.

Olympic beach volleyball is the only measure of crossover success.

He's a clown but loved. Collins called him a puppy the other day- as in "the puppy wants me to tell you Synderggard and cespedes went to Hospital for special surgery in middle of the game"- media roundly criticized collins.

I don't blame Collins, he was pissed that syndergaard was going to need TJ but we dodged that for a week at least.

Horwitz is the media guy for MLB as well, he still lives with his mother.

Dykstra has a salacious new book out I gather, i seen some reporters tweet/comment that Dykstra was the only gut on the team that constantly lied about anything

I heard him being interviewed on Howard. These are the tidbits I remember.

Davey Johnson hated him and was always hung over.

Daryl Strawberry had a legit bat in the sotsg sense of the word.

Mookie Wilson had terrible breath.

Gregg Jeffries couldn't play

Mickey Rourke owes him 30K.

He started taking PEDs when he was traded to the Phillies.

The '93 Phillies were insane in their off-field antics compared to the 1986 mets.

OJ#s - why is de Aza wearing an oven mitt when he runs the bases? / Real question.

Why is he starting in center? /Rhetorical question

Right now I'm much more concerned with the 11-17 start to the 2nd half than anything else. Division is over and if they don't get their shit together soon, 3 games out of the wild card is going to get a lot worse.

De Aza got hit in the hand a week ago in Detroit so they would rather him run with that so he can slide headfirst without jamming the hand again. Don't want him going on the DL with Cespedes, Lagares and Ruggiano. I saw him get hit in the neck last night; awful game, terrible weather but at least I was inside the Acela Club for the first time. Got reservations for one of the tiers inside just off to the side of the foul pole. Food was good, stuck with the buffet instead of ordering an entree to go along with the buffet.

Now that I've tried all of the clubs

1. Hyundai (formerly Champions): much better buffet choices, free ice cream after the 5th inning, better seat location than Acela...I think it ran the guys $150/ticket. I don't know, I didn't pay \:D/

2. Foxwoods (formerly Caesars): good place to get out of the heat/cold/rain pregame or for an inning; they put in a Rao's stand back here but that's not as good as Mama's of Corona

3. Delta: decent food options, didn't try the LaFrieda Chop House my one time down here; if you're in this club then you're sitting right behind the plate i.e. the FTT section

4. Acela: the buffet options were plenty (about $100 per person after 2 drinks, dessert, tax and tip); the downside is if I have a ticket with Acela access that means I have a better view than sitting out in left field.

5. Promenade: a place to get out of the rain/cold/heat; still don't get why they built a club right behind the plate in the upper deck without a view of the entire field
