Thread originally titled "The New York Mess".

The head groundskeeper at Shea Stadium was indicted for running a $360 Million gambling ring. Good times

Lord knows the guy didn't want to watch the games.

What the fuck is this about anyway, step into the 21st century and gamble on the internets like the rest of us!

Seriously. Why would you even consider gambling with a crime family; you're just asking for trouble. At least on the internets, you can only gamble with money you actually have, so you don't get bones broken when you lose and can't pay up.

Because nobody in their right mind would trust a New York Yankees employee to run an illegal gambling ring fairly.

There are two Mets treads. Both of them refere to them as the Mess...

Classic Martinez game today. The Sox suffered a fair share of those back in the day: Pedro pitching a gem, offense dead, close game, ended up giving it away at the end. Just brutal.

I saw the collision between Cameron and Beltran live (on TV) last week and actually thought that one of them would end up dead or paralyzed. It was almost as gruesome as the Theismann leg break... very hard to watch.
Ballz: So, I fucking got a BJ for $250 total, and wore a rubber. It sucked, I couldnt even feel it, so i jeckyled onto her tits. She was cute. Not even that far out of my league, it was a waste of $250

However, that barehanded, over-the-back, diving catch that Wright made earlier last week was the best catch I have ever seen.

That was the most overrated play in the history of baseball. It was a very, very soft flare of a hit, not some scorching line drive. People in the bleachers catch 385 foot rockets with their bare hand while holding a cup of beer, so what is so great about Wright's catch?

it looked good to me in the brevity that I saw it while walking by a TV.....sorry to hit a nerve there, Freddy.

No problem TheDude. You didn't really hit a nerve, although my post sure reads like you hit one. I just don't think Wright's catch was even better than Kevin Mitchell's one hand catch at the wall years ago.

I was exaggerating my appreciation for the catch.......Cameran's (i think) catch where he slipt and caught the ball on the ground was pretty great too.

Since we're talking about amazing defensive plays...
http://www.dbulls.com/video_clips/hi_re ... hi-res.wmv

Yep, that's BJ "43 errors and couting" Upton. he made two in that game along with that play which might be one of the most spectacular you'll see a SS make. The tricky thing about a guy like Upton, is that while he's making all these errors, hje's also making a lot of spectacular plays and robbing guys of hits so it's tough to determine how much his defense is really helping/hurting a team.
