Did they skip announcing the NL Cy Young? Did I miss something? It went from AL Cy Young to Managers of the Year?

I think there is a day between AL and NL Cy Young but I'm not sure.

Yeah, I thought he had it locked up after that colossal choke job against the White Sox at the end of the season. He clearly outmanaged Ozzie.

I woulda voted for Frank Robinson... or perhaps Joe Torre, after all, according to all the national pundits, he did his best managing job, helping a team with a $208 million payroll "overachieve"

Well, I was joking, but I think Ozzie had it until his team choked for like an entire second half. He was a terrible manager during that time, whereas Wedge was always a rock through the ups and the downs. The only reason the Sox came out of their tailspin was because Cleveland lost a few games near the end and the White Sox regained their confidence. But Cleveland's "choke" had nothing to do with Wedge. It was just some unfortunate untimely hitting.

Considering the Indians have improved 25 games in 2 years under Wedge, some props are well-deserved.

Well he got 2nd place, so that's not bad. As for Cox, he simply annhiliated LaRussa, winning the vote by 100 points and tying Tony for most MOY's ever, as well as the first manager to win the award back to back. At least we won something this year.

I would imagine Wedge finished in second. And Shap-I-ro got GM of the Year.

Yeah, but to tell you the truth, Wedge is really lining himself up for Manager of the Year next year if the Tribe wins the division.

I don't know. All I know is they're both far better managers than that scumbag known as Mike Scoscia.
