I really don't remember ever seeing anyone do that. And this motherfucker goes out and does it twice in a row. Prettay prettay awesome. Assuming the Pats take care of business next week, I'm pulling hard for the Packers because I want no part of that dude and the rest of his buddies on the Seattle D.

It's a really smart design by their special teams...look at how the defensive players are split on either side of the long snapper. One of two things happens there--either the long snapper muffs the snap trying to account for the guy barreling at him or the guy gets over the long snapper and a clear path to the kicker. I'm guessing the NFL outlaws this type of play next year. And they'll cite 'safety', but it's still pretty badass.

Also note how the defensive players get on top of the blockers and hold their heads down

That's a Polamalu (eagles blocked a FG against the Giants under Reid too). The defenders by rule have to be split and the second row can be in the center.

Geoff Schwartz tweeted it's the Guards responsibility to check for jumpers, it's also a penalty if they come down on a player, as was mentioned when Dallas tried and failed yesterday.

Rules Dorks - Please remind me...it's ok to jump the line, but its not okay to use another player as leverage to jump higher to block a kick?

You can't touch the lineman on the way down either. Even if you don't use them for leverage its a penalty if you land on the back of a lineman from either team.
