He didn't give up a 4th and 18? Congrat you did what literally every nfl starting backup and scout team corner can do. Except for that guy on New Orleans.

That's a fucking excellent picture. That play was really really enjoyable to watch. He seems to have remembered how to play football, and that makes me happy.

I can't decide if that or the Amendola touchdown is my favorite play. It's so hard to decide!!!

Haha, sorry. The game winner where he deftly dragged two feet inbounds at the back of the endzone.

Oh, OH, and the catch from Phillip Dorsett was money. I forgot he was still on the team!

Also, fuck Brandin Cooks. Catch the fucking ball.

I literally did forget Dorsett was on the team. He caught that ball and I said "Who the fuck is 13?" That play was awesome. The game-winning TD was my favorite play though. Amendola had himself a ball game between that, the punt return to set it up, and that diving catch for a first down.

I agree with your Cooks take. It was nice to see him actually get on the stat sheet a little bit, but that one drop was god awful.

Cooks did get something like 60 yards worth of Pass Interference yards.

That's a really dumb rule, btw

"You can't stand in front of a guy and hold him back from being able to stay in bounds and try to catch the ball without actually trying to make a play on the ball yourself" is a dumb rule?

No, PI being a spot foul.

TY. I agree with that. Sorry for the confusion. No one thinks that was a bad call though, right? Besides ctz, of course.

I wasn't a huge fan of the first one. It was borderline but they had been letting them play to that point

The second one was obvious.

It was an iffy call, but it benefited the Patriots so obviously the league wants New England to win everything ever. /angrymidget31

Also, they went three and out after that call so....

Three and out after the long Cooks PI near the end of the first half? They scored a TD only a few plays after that didn't they?

The call was indeed iffy (you could argue it was an uncatchable ball since it was thrown inside and Cooks was routed toward out of bounds), but it helped give the Pats momentum to score near the end of the first half. I think that is everyone's issue with that call in addition to the free yardage that penalty allows by it's very nature.

Anti-Pats fans do have some room to gripe about that one.

Their gripe is that a correct call gave the Pats momentum? That seems like healthy, rational behavior.

they'd probably overlook it if the patriots got called for more than 1 penalty in the game....

none in the 2nd half....

first time that's happened in the playoffs since... it happened for the Patriots... in a tight AFC title game.... that they won.... totally shocking
mister bacon love watching soccer. baseball is about as exciting as scratching my balls.
MisterTambourineMan you're not scratching your balls right, then.
