I gotta give them credit. They're undefeated as an underdog this post-season. I think the 6.5 point spread is too large.

why the funk was darnell dockett running around with the ball at the end of the game as if he had just seen the boogidy man? He took a pretty big hit and looked like he was a little shaken up.

I think it's about where it should be. It's large enough where there's going to be action on the AZ side considering they've won three straight as 'dogs, and there's going to be enough action on the PIT side since it's not -7. I'm tempted to take the Cards since I think Fitz and a healthy Boldin will be a lot for the Steelers to handle.

In fairness, Pittsburgh DID lose to Philly at Heinz Field earlier in the year.

Of course, the Iggled also destroyed Arizona in the regular season, too...

Simply making the point that it wouldn't have been inconceivable for Ballz to think the Iggles had a shot to beat Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl.

At the same time, the sentence right after that shows pretty much how much the regular season means in Playoff matchups, Pitt-Baltimore excluded.

Having seen them twice this year at no point did I think this team's going to Tampa. Looked downright awful vs. the Jets. Secondary was non-existent and made Brett Favre look invincible. The only real takeaway from that game besides Eric Smith breaking Boldin's face was that this was an offense that could put up a lot of points quickly, going from 34-0 at halftime to 34-21 12 minutes into 3rd qtr.

The 2nd game several weeks later was very much back-and-forth as the home crowd was willing them to win [/mfw], but I never got the sense that the Giants were going to blow it. I still don't understand why Whisenhunt tried that dropkick instead of airing it out at the end of the half. I never felt like this was a game the Giants were going to lose, even without Jacobs and a limited Burress.

Either way, as I said to my Philly coworker, that's what happens when a playmaking receiver is on the field instead of nursing a GSW, Johnson can't load the box with 8-9 guys...it also doesn't hurt when your QB is Jesus Christ.

Am I the only one who thinks they rested Edge all season with the plan being to unleash him in the playoffs? That it was all a ploy, a brilliant ploy to rest Edge's legs for the playoffs?
