BD--I have picked up Darren McFadden in fake football as a preemptive strike. Do you like him to take over as the bell cow /31 for your offense in Zeke's absence?

I have had McFadden on my fake team all year. I finally had to cut him a week or 2 ago to cover byes and injuries. Thankfully my team is like 2-6 so I'll miss the playoffs irregardless.

Morris is pretty clearly their backup at this point, so if he's available he's unquestionably the better pickup. I'm not sure that McFadden has played this year. That will obviously change but I think Morris is the pick.

Zeke's owner has Morris in our league. I went against him when Zeke had 40 points last week.

I hope Morris parlays this into a big payday from some stupid team. The poor bastard run into the ground on a 6th round contract.

My pretend football guru retarded BIL claims mcfadden is the clear pickup there and that they have been keeping him inactive all year, just to keep him fresh for this scenario.

It's possible but generally speaking you don't just pop RBs out of the box and expect them to run. I can't imagine anyone else out there being better for Flush to pick up (except Kaep, obv), so it was a good pickup, but I don't expect him to do much.

I've leaned towards McFadden because they've done similar shit in the past. While he's obviously not as good as Zeke, the theory I've heard is that McFadden is more similar to Zeke in style, while Morris is more of a "change of pace" type. So when Zeke is healthy and not suspended, Morris is his backup and they often have McFadden inactive to get an extra special teamer or whatever. But with Zeke out, McFadden could do more of the things they want to do and is a better overall fit for the offense, so he'd end up being the #1 guy, with Morris getting a bigger share than he gets behind Zeke but still as a backup.

It sounds plausible to me, and that's why I was on the McFadden train in drafts when I thought Zeke might actually miss time early in the season.
