Sorry I have opinions on things.

I hope they play well tonight and no one gets hurt and the players and coaches have fun.
PS: I will never like July 27th. It will always be the day Reggie died. I just hate this day. True Celtic fans know what I mean.

Did anyone see Real Sports on HBO this week? (LOL sure)

They did a story on Kevin Turner. Apparently ever since he was diagnosed with ALS, HBO had a camera crew and one of their stooge reporters kinda periodically meet up with him for updates and stuff. Waiting for him to die before releasing the story. Well he did die, and the piece came out this week. It was pretty powerful stuff! The reporter cried to Gumbel afterwards bc he had become friends with KT. Turner's son is on the Clemson team, as a safety or something. Dont think he plays.

Who is Kevin Turner, other than someone who has never been in my kitchen?

One of my mother's old friends became Turner's de facto caretaker and actually took him in toward the end of his life. TMYK.

I appreciate it, although in this case it's just a family friend (more my uncle than my mom, but both were pals with him and his family). We try to be good to people.

I'd like to think we're trying to make amends for my great-great-great grandpa fighting for the Confederacy.

I heard an ad on PJ's favorite sports station the other day, WIP, about how we all need to stay tuned leading up to the NFL Draft. This is the most important offseason for the Birds in 10 years and will shape the next 10 years.

Uh, pardon? Last offseason they hired a new coach and drafted a franchise QB at #2 overall.

This town has to have the dumbest sports fans on the planet. Has to!
