Do something at least. The current version of the sport doesn't move the needle.

I am not a fan, but the rise and fall of NASCAR is pretty amazing. I feel like just 10 years ago people were thinking it was close to becoming the #2 sport behind the NFL. Now, it is not even close to that.

Hello, can someone explain this to me like I am Flush?

I thought NASCAR was pretty popular among hillbillies? No? Are ratings down?
PS: I will never like July 27th. It will always be the day Reggie died. I just hate this day. True Celtic fans know what I mean.

For Bald: https://www.wsj.com/articles/long-in-vi ... 1487686349

Assuming you don't have a WSJ subscription, so joogle the title (Nascar, Once a Cultural Icon, Hits the Skids) and then click into the site from there.

I can see Balls' point. Anybody can go to a park and play baseball, basketball, soccer or football with a minimum amount of equipment. But ice hockey and car racing requires someplace other than the local park and more specialized (and costly) equipment.

NASCAR has been dead to me since Davey Allison died.

That was a week before I turned 7. :cryingalabamagang:

Bobby Allison's crash is what started restrictor plates back up. think he was going something like 210 mph, which is indy car speed but in a car that weighs twice as much with half as much tire on the road.
