NASCAR

Postby nerf66 » 18 Nov 2004, 00:24

Does anyone else out there like NASCAR? I understand if people don't enjoy it....I used to hate it....then I got pit passes to a NASCAR Truck Series race and really, really enjoyed it. Now I watch as many races as I can.....and Tivo the rest to watch the last 50 laps. I know, I know......around in circles, what's the point, Boring, Not a sport. Etc.... Anyone else enjoy it?

I clicked on "unanswered posts" and I laughed when I saw this subject. I'm guessing the two weeks of pure silence answers your question Nerf.

I like Cake's song The Distance. Is that close enough?

I'm far from being a NASCAR fan, but I've had to watch it a few times with some family members who are big fans. I'll admit, it's definitely tolerable if you sit down and take the time to watch a race with someone who knows what's going on. But I'm still nowhere near the point where I'll actually go out of my way to watch it. Besides, aren't races on at the same time as football games? I also really like NASCAR video games. Does that count?

I like video games with cars in them... does that count?

I am also anxiously awaiting the mullett to come back into style.

I watched NASCAR when i was about 10-12 and reently I wondered why, because I was never that into cars.
Then i realized why, i wanted to see the crashes. That was the only thing that appealled to me. My siblings too.
bosux191820042090: what kills more is that now more than ever the team needs him[A-Rod] to put it on his back, and he can't...i hate to say this, but if given a choice i would rather have ortiz on my team any day

Not a big NASCAR fan myself but if its about 20 or so laps from the end chances are I'll watch. I too am guilty of waiting for a crash to unfold.
"The Yankees have that guy (Tony) Womack playing left field," Henderson said. "If I can't play that position at least as well as he can, I'll hang up the spikes right now.'' ? Rickey Henderson.

Oh man that is too funny. I too am guilty(and ashamed...sort of) of waiting for crashes to happen. Especially those HUGE 10-car crashes. Real trippy when you're high.

I don?t see what the big deal is it?s just a bunch of hicks turning left. You don?t even need to watch the whole race they show you everything you need to see on sportscenter anyway so why waist 3 hours watching the whole thing.
