From the looks of it Ookie's Dogs weren't that good besides for 1 she-male dog that had a good run.

Brick Top, hands down - unless Turkish is handling the dogs, in which case he'd probably fuck it up.

Okay folks, I know there have been some grumblings around the site, so I figured that as the author of this thread, it was my duty, nay, my privilege, to announce the formation of the First Annual SOTSG Fantasy Dogfighting league. Bacon, your prayers have not returned to you void.

The rules are fairly simple: Each entrant will choose a kennel name. In the draft you will pick four dogs, and in any given tournament, you will start three. If your dog makes it to the second round, you receive one point. To the Sweet Sixteen: two points. To the Elite Eight: 4, and so on and so forth. Add up the points at the end of the week, and that is your weekly total. The season's points will accumulate.

The first kennel to be entered, skippered by the Raineman, is Ol' Yeller's Heroes.

In interest of fair play, since all of you might not have access to ESPN's "Fantasy Dogfighting Power Rankings", I have provided the first couple for you.

1. Bocephus 105lbs (37-2, 35 KOs) : Folks this guy is a five tool player. He has the speed and quickness, but he just overpowers any opponent in the pit. His record speaks for itself. A dog needs to really be on its game to just go one round with "Bo". Recent talk has it that he might be getting a bit lazy because of his stud duties. Still the obvious #1 pick.

2.Laz-E-Eye Larry 87lbs (19-4 16 KOs): While but a young fighter, Larry has made quite a name for himself. He started out on the Northwest Georgia Tour, but finally made it up to the big leagues in Virginia. This could be your breakout star.

3.The Hokie Hellraiser 120lbs (62-13 47 KOs): The big fella is the pride and joy of the Vick kennel. He is the veteran of the tour, but he still has the muscle to throw around the little dogs. His struggle is against the bigger dogs who he can't force into a corner. His 0-6 record against Bo is worrying. His head might not be in the game anymore.

4. Little Yellow Jacket 71lbs (27-3 12KOs): Pound for Pound, he is the best brawler of them all. He is so fast, that he can slip inside the guard of many bigger dogs, and while he doesn't have the finishing ability, he can dance around enough to get the decisions. His trouble comes when takes a big hit early, and loses that first step.

You'll have to do some research on your own as well folks. I can't give away all my secrets

What do you think about the strategy of butting hot sauce on the dog's balls right before the fight?

Sure it's illegal and you'll probably get your ass kicked if the competition finds out you cheated, but it seems to get the dogs fired up.

Uhhh....is that hand-applied? If so, the dogfighting world gets seedier and seedier the more I hear.

Can the great sport of dogfighting recover from this latest setback? Do we need a new commissioner?

Maybe they could draw families to the sport by putting the fighters in funny little costumes.

So is Bad Newz kennel's chance at the 2007 championship completely ruined by its loss of sponsor? Or do they have enough to hold on to their top ranking?

Judging by how many dogs they were executing, I don't think they're a playoff team with or without the sponsor.
