So I think the "well LaVar at least seems like a good parent" bit can be put to rest. Shoplifting high end merch in China. That's smart.

Hilarious stuff really. And how about UCLA's opponent in China (Georgia Tech) running into trouble as well.

College basketball is off to a roaring start before the first tip!

The funny thing is that China being China it was probably bootleg Louis Vuitton sunglasses.
Balls: I know a guy who came home after high school one day to over hear his mom and dad having a 3some with another lady. He actually went to beat off during it in his room.

Auburn men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl is refusing to cooperate in the school’s internal investigation into his program, and university officials have advised him that his job is in jeopardy if he doesn’t, sources told ESPN on Wednesday

Bilas goes scorched earth on the NCAA

Immediate resignation of Mark Emmert
This last reform is not suggested lightly. This is not about the person, but about the position and the results achieved by the position. Mark Emmert is a nice person and a person of goodwill with good intentions. He has been, however, a poor leader who has achieved poor results. He should resign immediately and allow the NCAA to move forward with better leadership.

I like the idea of splitting Division I out from the rest of the 350-odd schools that currently make up D-I. There's no reason to have over 300 schools making up Division I. Just take the major conferences (AAC, ACC, Atlantic 10, Big East, Big XII, B1G, Conference USA, Pac 12, and SEC) and make that your new top Division. That's 115 teams by my count.

I didn't think Bilas had that in him. Good read.

The other night on UK ESPN I done watched West Virginia play basketball against Texas A & M in a cargo hangar on a US airbase in Germany at 2am. That is what freedom looks like. I always think that these people (thank you for your service) who get deployed to Germany or wherever really won the lottery while other poor bastards are sent to Iraq. Like how in Wimbledon they use army soldiers as ushers when they really should be getting shot at in Afghanistan.

Ole Miss beat Eastern Kentucky last night. This put the Rebel program above .500 all-time for the first time since....1959.

Andy Kennedy is a freakin' magician.

Minnesota might be a Big Ten champion contender this year. I'm just as surprised as you.

No depth at all but their starting lineup can play with anyone.
