This is where we need to agree to disagree. The two greatest spectacles in sports post-seasons are March Madness and overtime Stanley Cup hockey. I will not be convinced otherwise.

Cinci coach says "I want to congratulate UConn on their victory, but I felt we won the game. The game was taken away from us. That's my opinion."

Thank you for sharing your opinion, sir. My opinion is that you are a whiny sore loser. You got all kinds of touch fouls called your way all game, and the replay showed the ball off in time. Fuck you, and enjoy the NIT. That's my opinion.

It is also my opinion that that was one fucker of a shot. Really top notch.

Cincy probably needed that game less than UConn, but yeah.

I saw some folks on the Twitters griping that the clock didn't start on time, but Tim Burke showed that the shot got off in less than .8 seconds.

So, UConn tweeted last night that after last night's NHL Draft, UConn has the most first round picks since 2014. I thought this was an interesting claim so I did a little digging. They're counting MLB, NHL, NFL, NBA (all yay!), WNBA (well, it is UConn, so ok...), MLS (ugh), and the CFL (are you fucking kidding me?).

UConn forgot that you need to start slow in your schedule. They paid for that by losing to perennial powerhouse Wagner 67-58 at home on opening night.

Not throwing my UConn futures ticket in the shredder just yet, but tough to have optimism right now.

They're from Boston, OF COURSE. Had some good teams in the 1980s with some coach named Jim Calhoun. Think he ended up leaving and flaming out at a Big East school, TBH.

The women almost lost to FSU too, and will likely lose at home to Baylor. Dark times in Storrs.

Caught the end of that. Had to be weird for Geno to be drawing up plays at the end of the game. They said something UConn hasn't had a win of less than 5 points since 2011. Supposedly FSU was without its best player too.

Not the biggest womens hoop fan, but FSU is generally pretty good and gets like a 3/4 seed in the tournament. Then runs into UConn or Baylor with Griner in the Sweet 16 and loses by 50.

Notre Dame will be tough.

Having the top three picks in last year's WNBA draft all graduate last season is gonna hurt. Rebuilding year for UConn. Good year to bet against them.
