BU with a #1 seed. (sorry chrisco but I hate BU hockey)
Look for Notheastern to win the whole thing.
Will our NH posters make it to the early round?
Will nova go to the frozen 4?

I would like to thank the NCAA for devoting an entire PDF file to the Frozen Four.

Let's go Terriers.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the rules state: "If the most storied program in college hockey history, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, have not made the tourney, the tourney shall not count." Again, could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's a rule.

No. They're choke artists. See the Hockey East semi against UMass-Lowell for evidence.

I dislike BU hockey as well, but they're waaay better than everyone else in Hockey East this year.

Aren't they in UNH's bracket, which is being held at UNH's arena? Seems like a tough road.

Go Wildcats!!

Evidently, Briandean79.

I'd still take BU over UNH in NH, if it gets to that.

Good breakdown of the tourney (or at least 2 regions so far). Andy Miele (Miami's #3 scorer) was one of the kids that lived with my brother & sister-in-law while he played for Cedar Rapids. Alex Stalock (from Minn-Duluth) is also a RoughRider alum.

Alabama-Huntsville isn't in this? Damn it.

(Yes, UAH does have a hockey program, and IIRC they made the NCAA Tourney a couple of years ago and gave overall #1-seed Notre Dame a scare)

I understand this is a Canadian-owned message board, but can we at least move all discussion of this minor, regional sport to the NHL thread where it belongs? I come to this thread to view important information on ncaa football, basketball, and baseball, as well as the occaisional amusing story about college lacrosse, track and field, water polo, gymnastics, or volleyball

I went to a UAH game when I was in high school. They played Mankato State.

The two top teams in the country are Michigan and Notre Dame, and I'm pretty sure that another matchup is in store for the championship game. I'm at most of the Michigan hockey games, and Notre Dame is the only opponent all season who has really impressed me. While the Hockey East teams had a good year, we'll see what happens in the tournament.

cheese, it's not our fault that Oklahoma is a dull, culture-free, basketball team stealing, plains state backwater, that desperately wishes it could be well known like the state of Texas. Nothing notable has ever come out of Oklahoma, and most likely, nothing ever will. Please, stop criticizing other threads, just because there is so little to do in Oklahoma, and you guys already blew up what was probably your only federal building. Thank you.

A.) You stay classy, TheDooze. You stay classy.

B.) The state of Oklahoma begs to with your assessment of its contribution to society. Among other things, Oklahomans have contributed the shopping cart and the parking meter to modern American life. The Great State of Oklahoma also contributed The Flaming Lips, Garth Brooks, NEXRAD Doppler radar, the movie Twister, James Garner, Woodie Guthrie, Will Rogers, Hinder (fuck I take that back, we don't claim Hinder), Carrie Fucking Underwood, Johnny Bench, Mickey Mantle, Joe Carter, Dizzy and Daffy Dean, Mickey Tettleton, and Camille's Cafe to the world. The State of Oklahoma is no more of a backwater than Michigan, which is dominated by 3rd world cities like Detroit and Lansing.

The people of the State of Oklahoma have no real desire to ever be associated with those assholes from the State of Texas, as the only things that come out of Texas are Steers, Queers, and awful presidents.

Let's break that list down.

the shopping cart - encourages Americans to buy more food, causing the country to become fat
the parking meter - encourages more driving, which hurts the environment
The Flaming Lips - SUCK
Garth Brooks - SUCKS
NEXRAD Doppler radar - primarily invented to find tornadoes
the movie Twister - probably made or created in California anyway
James Garner - who cares?
Woodie Guthrie - irrelevant to modern times
Will Rogers - irrelevant to modern times
Carrie Fucking Underwood - currently fucking a hockey player
Johnny Bench - he was pretty good
Mickey Mantle - SUCKED
Joe Carter - made famous only when he got to Toronto
Dizzy and Daffy Dean - long dead
Mickey Tettleton - made famous only when he got to Detoit
Camille's Cafe - no idea what this is, so irrelevant

I could debate every one of your points, most of which are irrelevant, wrong, or just plain stupid, but unlike you I have better things to do. I will only say that that, that right there, that's why you only got eighth place in extemporaneous speaking.
