You have no idea. I was emotionally invested in a 2nd Round NIT game Saturday. Might be my favorite Ole Miss basketball win ever.

The NCAA can go fuck itself with a rolled up AFAM diploma from UNC.

The NCAA needs a VP of Common Sense. I nominate myself.

UNC created sham courses which benefited athletes? There will be punishment.

This kid took one class, transferred because a coach left and never played a game for Ohio State? He can play. Thanks.

eta: plus how good can this kid be?

And on top of that even Ohio State helped file the waiver for this kid. Just a colossal fuckup all around by the NCAA.

At some point college presidents need to wake up and realize they don't need the NCAA to conduct business. The NCAA needs them more than they need the NCAA.

The good news is that captive agencies that draft their own rules which punish the little guy while benefiting the institutions its supposed to be watching out against only happens in sports.

We played South Carolina State (the other Carolina State) in hoops Saturday and one of their players collapsed on the sideline. Kid's heart stopped beating for 3 minutes but they were able to revive him before transporting him out of the arena and to the hospital. As of yesterday he was in good condition and thankful for the first responders.

Thanks to a bogus timeout call awarded by the shittiest conference referees (college) and an epic collapse (pro). Nice work!

I notice there seems to be a ton of complaining about refs by wolfpackers on twitter (football and hoops).

The ACC is run by a UNC alum who was also their AD prior to his current role as commissioner. Nothing to see here. :^o

Regarding the issue in question here--the Miami player didn't call timeout and was granted one only after the NC State player had stolen the ball and appeared headed for a layup. Even our AD stepped outside of being careful to comment on officiating to tweet about it.
