Meh, I count the CWS as the entire tourney. May not be entirely correct but that's the shorthand that works in my brain. I know they're essentially in a play in game.

There are regionals (4 team double elimination) in which they are paired with another regional. Next week the winners play a best of 3 SUPER REGIONAL and the 8 winners go on to Omaha where the process is repeated. PING (RIP).

Cocks missed the tourney for the 2nd time in 3 years after making it for 15 straight years. Think head coach Holbrook should probably be fired but not sure if he will be as the AD used to be the baseball HC and picked his former assistant Holbrook as his successor (out of many in house options, including the current coach at Clemson who is hosting a regional this year). Unpleasant times for USCe baseball fans.

yale made it for the first time in forever, in a regional with oregon state (host), nebraska and holy cross. oregon state is 49-4 - i thought that was a typo at first - so it's pretty safe to say who's advancing from that one.

Oregon State is ridiculous. Have a couple starters with sub 1 ERA's.

we (yes, we) beat Nebraska 5-1 in the first game, so at least one win. our ace (soph) threw 124 pitches though, not good. fun fact, john stuper is our long-time head coach, i'm sure he still has some magic in him from all those years pitching in front of the best fans in baseball.

Yeah, I've heard the name but didn't remember any details. I like how rod said "all those years" regarding his short 4 year stint in the majors. Did he get injured or just retire because he sucked?
Ballz: So, I fucking got a BJ for $250 total, and wore a rubber. It sucked, I couldnt even feel it, so i jeckyled onto her tits. She was cute. Not even that far out of my league, it was a waste of $250

I do in fact have a goddamn clue who Darin Erstad is. Mainly because he wasn't some random #5 starter who played for 5 minutes when I was a toddler.

Congrats to Florida State, who crushed Auburn on a 2-hit shutout.

The only guy who got a hit for Auburn was Blake Logan, a senior from Muscle Shoals whose grandmother was best friends with mine. Cool story, Jike.

That was a huge effort from that kid who hadn't pitched in a month and never went over 5 innings. Came out of nowhere.

We are nothing if not consistent. 40 years in a row with 40 wins (the next closest streak is 6).
