kite: my roommate

bix: I came in second. Would have won first if I could have found a horse smaller than me to ride.

Asheville was last week. He covered a bunch of the craft brewers in town - "Beer City USA (per capita)". Bunch of hippies; can't believe that we're in the same state, really.

This week is Charlotte. Already some people are complaining about the places he went to because they're kind of where the corporate douchebags go after doing their investment banking all week. He went to VBGB's which is pretty cool.

What places specifically? I'm a corporate douchebag so I'm sure I've frequented them.

I've only been to Dixie's, Prohibition, P-Stone, and the Whitewater Center. I was impressed with the Whitewater Center's selection; I still have yet to make it to VBGB. Good point in that article about not stopping at Olde Meck while they were in town; big fan of their Copper and Mecktoberfest.

Next week is in the Couv. I'm very excited for this one. I fully expect the bartenders to be very creative, sensitive, but possibly prone to crying like twats if Zane and Steve dare to not like thir drinks.

The Couv ep was wonderful. They went to some joint called Alibi where they drank goonery type lambic beer, then they went to some place called the Salt Tasting Room, wherest they had wines and salted meats or some shit with a guy in a black tshirt.

The 12 year old in me Lidged when they were in "Gastown". I thought of charming, flatulent Canadians traipsing too and fro through the cobblestone streets. Alas, seems like it was named after a dude who talked a lot.

A lot of accents in this joint, some Aussie, some Brit, some weirdo Canuckistan woodsy shit. Looks like a wonderful place to visit, so long as the local hockey team isn't losing a match.

A quick update on this, because it seems like you've been clamouring anxiously, but Chug appears to be ready to launch.

I am excited to watch this show.

About 40 minutes north of here, I'm up there fairly frequently.
