Random Reality Shows

Ok, so I didn't want to make a new topic for each of these shows (since there is a new show every week) So, I am starting this forum as a place to talk about the new fad shows that come and go without having to start a whole new topic. If the discussion of a particular show takes off, I am sure the moderators will split it out. So here are a few shows I have seen lately:

Rockstar: INXS - Holy shit, the guys from INXS are old. Neither Dave Navarro nor Brooke Burke can put a sentence together. However, the performances are pretty fun to watch, and you can just about pick the top 4 or 5 who deserve to be in the finals. My only complaint is that they are trying to drag the show out way too long.

So You Think You Can Dance - I swore I would never watch this one, but the monsterette made me. Its like a carwreck that you can't turn away from. I am guessing that I will lose interest once they get down to the finalists, but until then, all the pop and locking is mesmerizing. Plus, they let a very nimble fat guy go on to Hollywoood, which I thought was classy.

Minding the Store - Pauly Shore can't possibly be this stupid in real life, can he? I read that parts of it are scripted, so its fun to figure out what is real and what is fake. It feels way forced at this point, but I am going to give it another shot just to make sure.

The 70's House - This one is the dark horse of reality shows. Its on MTV and it seems to be the only show that isn't being replayed every 5 seconds. This show is about 15 or so kids who are picked to live in a house decked out in only 70's regalia and they can only do 70's things. There are disco dance competitions, etc, and lots of celebrities from the 70's that make appearances looking very old. I don't know why, but I love this show. Its very fun to watch.

Minding the store looks funny if only for the UCR potential so I'm probably going to tune in for only that reality show.

I was also forced to watch SYTYCD, and that one guy who they said was too feminine and proceeded to do some sort of ballerina twirl and say "is this feminine?", all while wearing some unbuttoned half shirt had to be the funniest thing I've seen in quite some time.

That was quite the run-on sentence there. My apologies.

Yeah! He was awesome. I like how he was shocked that someone wouldn't think he was masqueline. Then he even suggested that he would be willing to button his shirt up if that would help him look more manly. Like that would help.

The funniest part was, this guy was dead serious considering the fact that he actually could dance. Oh man, I could watch that sequence of events all day.

That 70s House is surprisingly watchable, not something I'd go out of my way to see but its good background TV.

I was just surprised with how watchable the 70's House was considering that its on MTV and MTV has been sucking Shanoff balls for several years now. I just think the environment and the twists to the challenges are pretty funny.

Celebrity Fit Club on VH1 is pretty watchable. Maybe it's because I love Phil Margara....that guy is awesome. He seems like a very genuine guy. In the first episode one of the panel members asked him "I've never seen you. What are you famous for?" and he simply answered "My son picks on me" I thought that was cool. He could have mentioned that he's a regular on VIVA LA BAM. I admired that answer.

Those guys are all pretty funny except for Bam himself. He used to be a lot funnier before he was famous. If you've ever seen the CKY videos back in the day you'll know what I'm talking about.

Oh yeah, CKY was all the rage in high school. I always thought it was kinda dumb myself, as well as Jackass, and the aborted fetus known as "Jackass: The Movie".(Dont even ask why I saw it)

I'm with you, Nerf. There is something that is just inherently likeable about Phil. He is the best part of fit club, besides crazy Gary Busey who always livens things up.

Phil's awesome. I kind of feel bad for him because he's such a good guy. I hope he does well on the show.
