2015 Fantasy Baseball

Postby TheWolf » 26 Feb 2015, 10:56

Dear SOTSG,

I'm looking for new owners to take over 2 vacated teams in the Wolf/MTM/Rickey/notouchy fake baseball league. We lost one very good owner (notouchy, the defending champ), and one inactive owner who will not be missed. I want to replace both with dudes who will be active and continue to try all season (says the guy who barely set his lineup after the All Star Break last year). Basic league info is as follows:

12-team mixed roto league, standard 5x5 categories[/*]
[*Auction league ($260 budget)[/*]

Daily lineups and transactions[/*]

An unnecessarily confusing keeper system that I made up. Sort of a cross between a regular keeper and a dynasty. You can theoretically keep an unlimited number of players, but the more you keep, the more you have to increase each player's salary over the prior year.[/*]

$25 buy-in. Winner gets $180, second $90, third $30.[/*]
Please PM me if interested, and I will provide further details upon request. First come, first serve. When I have two committed owners, I will randomly draw one of their names and he gets to pick which of the two available teams he wants. The other one gets stuck with the other team.

Straight points league: Gotta keep 4. I'm leaning Wainwright, Tulo, Braun, A. Jones. But I also have mb Rizzo. Considering him over Jones, perhaps Braun? I dunno. I've always had a thing for Lloyd. Thoughts?

Isn't Tulo done? He has to get injured again if he isn't already.

I know everyone was waiting with bated breath to see the results of tonight's auction. So here you go. There are 8 other teams too, but these are the only ones anyone here cares about.

I've already made an offer of Gallo for Sano.

You not getting Sano remains the biggest surprise of the night.

What is this, Game of Thrones fantasy ball? Rougned Odor isn't a real person

ETA: Archer and drinking are an acceptable excuse for just about any screw up
mister bacon love watching soccer. baseball is about as exciting as scratching my balls.
MisterTambourineMan you're not scratching your balls right, then.

Rougned Odor is in fact TWO real people. They have the same parents, and are both in the Rangers' system.

I literally learned about that guy five minutes before the draft. Spending 17 on him made me katz. I still think we should have a do-over.

Wait so is that the one that is actually on the team or not?

Yes, Tambo owns the one who's actually on the team. But he still spent way too much money on him, I think.

I don't think his brother is in ESPN's fantasy player pool yet.

Wait, to be fair, that should be "Wolf's friend that Tambo AND Rickey hates." Sez was texting me during the draft bitching about him. Like, the entire draft. Granted there was a dong shot here and there, but it was mostly bitching about your friend.
